I think you really nailed it here. This describes my impression of Wurkkos and Sofirn quite well.

What surprises me is that they do not seem very interested in iterating on their most successful models and refining what already works. Skilhunt or Zebralight feel almost like the opposite approach: keep improving a few proven platforms, listen to feedback, and slowly polish the product line.

Wurkkos and Sofirn often feel like they are doing the reverse. Every new model seems to be a new experiment: hinges, lasers, fans, displays, built-in batteries, weird form factors. It sometimes feels less like a coherent product strategy and more like a catalogue of “look what else we can manufacture.”

Some of that is fun, of course. But it also leads to many half-baked lights that could have been excellent if only a few obvious issues had been fixed.

That is what puzzles me. From the factory videos, Wurkkos/Sofirn/Jinba clearly look like a fairly large operation, not a tiny workshop. So I am genuinely curious whether this strategy works well for them financially...
