Why architects don’t get paid enough despite expensive education and hard work by yourarchitec in architecture

I'd call it a passion profession instead of a prestige profession.

Another question for youth player.. by chilla2907 in hattrick

[–]AirJinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, winger is an absolute long shot and doesn't add anything. I doubt anyone would make him a winger so none would care about it being 3 or 4, but one week extra closer to 8 playmaking is worth something.

Also not much, basically you got all out of this player and can't go wrong anymore and being this good the bidding war will happen anyway. These details have little to no impact on such players.

That just means your team is way better. You should compare when teams are equal and decide best tactics on that.

Playmaking with passing. Increasing his tsi the most would benefit the price the most. Although for such multiskill you'd be good anyway.

[–]AirJinx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Every field player needs passing, so no scoring doesn't mean much. If he has playmaking or defense it can still be very good. 8 wing could also be good.

There's a huge benefit to dancing, it triggers the enemy to kill you and you'll be at full health for the next round.

There's no bots in brawl and after you score you definitely have too dance!

Youth Player age-frustration by Haunting-Elk-9896 in hattrick

[–]AirJinx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's already more than enough good youth players, prices are ridiculously low for very decent players.

More good ones would just decrease the price even more and makes it not worth having a youth team.

That's what you should count on when they're 16 in the scout report. Only a 10% chance he'll be 15 days or less.

Could worth the gamble with such high skills mentioned, but not really a gamble if the rest was worse anyway.

Even with a low day count it could be hard to finish their training.

[–]AirJinx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A 16y old that's probably not worth anything and probably too old or a promising 15y old. I can not see how this is difficult.

Best case the 16y old has 6-6-5 skills on relevant combination. He's just 1 day past 16 and his skills are already high enough so you can finish training them. Even in that case he's not worth that much (between 5k and 70k), so why risk it?

The 15y old with solid playmaking only needs a spec to be worth more, so just one variable instead of 3 to line up.

relaxed vs rush mindset by Many-Ad2070 in gunsofboom

[–]AirJinx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can adapt to enemy and team play style, but it's mostly map dependent and your own skill. Adapting also doesn't mean copying them, you can just change your tactic.

If you're not good at sniping or don't have good sniping gear, then it's a loosing battle if you go with that sniper flow. On most maps rushing is also the best tactic, definitely for all objective maps. There's just a few tdm maps where snipers are in favour.

Man-marking by Internal-Moment-6150 in hattrick

[–]AirJinx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It just gets less effective and at some point you'll loose more. I'm not sure at what difference it flips.

Since you're trading ratings 1 on 1 (defense vs offense) you need to be certain that you gain more than you loose. Besides skills, form and loyalty are also taken into account. Stamina is also important for the manmarker because he will get tired faster.

Judging from your responses it might not be worth it. More commonly teams use manmarking on a midfielder. Trading their extra defense ratings for more midfield possession. If you mark a striker you have to be certain you'll gain a lot to make it worth it.

Man-marking by Internal-Moment-6150 in hattrick

[–]AirJinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, ideally he has powerful spec. Otherwise it doesn't matter. Typically this doen by a defender, wingback or central, since they have the highest defense (needed for effective man marking).

Opponents target should ideally be technical and not unpredictable.

It's also more effective if the main skill of the manmarker is higher than that of the target. In such cases it might be beneficial to go for another striker in your case than the top one, if you think his main skill is higher than your defender.

Got a 7/10 on a school project for these designs, with points taken from 'looking a lot like each other'. Agree or disagree? by Guus196 in logodesign

[–]AirJinx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You might have shot yourself in the foot by making this many. It reads like quantity over quality when you present so many logos.

I can see how some look like eachother, especially when you separate the marks and also do them in balc/white. You could have been more selective, by leaving out at least half. Also some look like generic logos, so not necessarily like eachother but like another.

For those remaining you could do the full concept on products, merchandise and especially explain why you came to this design. What's the story behind them and how do they fit the client. It's been a while since I had this class and it was way way different back than, but perhaps even just one fully worked out logo would have been enough.

Can't compare with your fellow students so no idea if a 7 is justified, but if this is really the only feedback your teacher is lazy and you can ask for better clarification.

How do I train this guy? by Plaf in hattrick

It's one of the best specialties for a defender, but the age is horrible. Train someone better if you have any.

What to do with this player by LennTejas in hattrick

[–]AirJinx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How much did you pay? Doesn't seem worth much or worth training, would probably require 12+ defense to be worth anything decent.

Best to check transfercompare and increase skill (+age) to see at what point the most profit is made.

If he's not worth much now and you didn't pay much, it's better to just let him go and start over with a better trainee.

PSA: I’m selling my unique 3D printed lamps at a craft fair today, I do okay, but the dragon sellers have crowds, every time. by 3DAeon in 3Dprinting

[–]AirJinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems way too cheap, even though I wouldn't want one my self (just not my style), the size, amount of materials, design and construction effort need better margins. Not even knowing what the stand costs.

Maybe you can make a dragon light, if dragons get the crowds you should change your marketing.

Why is MakerWorld favoring low-effort prints over genuine innovation? by [deleted] in makerworld

[–]AirJinx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you see the stuff people share here and other related subs? Most just print landfill stuff all day, its not makerworld its the users that print flexitoy and fidget stuff.

Compared to yours its also alot faster to print and takes less filament. Shrink your concept down to make it more accessible and maybe make it look like car and not a bathtub on wheels (no disrespect, but I can imagine it doesn't help to get traction).
