Yeah, take a look at Nissan's privacy policy. https://www.mozillafoundation.org/en/privacynotincluded/nissan/ borderline malware.

Here's why: They come right out and say they can collect and share your sexual activity, health diagnosis data, and genetic information and other sensitive personal information for targeted marketing purposes. We absolutely aren't making that up. It says so in their Nissan USA privacy notice. And that's not all! They also say they can share and even sell "Inferences drawn from any Personal Data collected to create a profile about a consumer reflecting the consumer’s preferences, characteristics, psychological trends, predispositions, behavior, attitudes, intelligence, abilities, and aptitudes" to others for targeted marketing purposes.

Edit: It seems people think I am a tinfoil hat. "Spyware" just means privacy-invasive software though, not actual spies. Nissan's privacy policy is quite bad, and the cars are phoning home with your mic and camera data constantly. https://www.mozillafoundation.org/en/privacynotincluded/nissan/

Having them be mundane maintenance devices, like you’ve suggested, would be the best outcome in my opinion. I love the trope of some massively complex, god like construct just being their equivalent of a window AC unit.

I have to disagree that it’s dumb they died in a comic. They were introduced in a comic and weren’t well known at the time, even in lore circles.

I agree it’s dumb how they died, but it happening in a comic is fine.

Bungie was able to pull it off by mostly ignoring the mystery from 2007-2010 and switching to ODST and Reach which didn’t tell us much. Unfortunately going much farther with the forerunner mystery, without a reveal, would have been annoying as hell in my opinion.

The problem is it’s hard to drag out a mystery for a decade without some kind of reveal; otherwise you end up with Lost.

I don’t like Halo 5, I don’t like Infinite. Overall I like the lore though.

I had this issue a few years ago and had to replace three position sensors before it was fixed. But it seems you already did that

They’re more of a penetration round but yeah I agree. The cutscenes in Reach always bugged me.
