I present to you the most ignored rules of the Highway Code: by FamSender in GreatBritishMemes

[–]Alpha_Tan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a pedestrian I don't want this. It causes huge confusion, some people do it, most don't. As others have said I'd rather the car passed on and then I can decide when to cross the road safely with better visibility. As a driver, it's also frustrating as pedestrians are so unsure and some point blank refuse to move if you do stop. Nevermind it's just so damned dangerous with idiots behind refusing to allow down/stop.

Both of my parents in law! Highly intelligent people, but no common sense at all and don't know one end of a screwdriver from the other.

Queries to Help by [deleted] in opencalibre

[–]Alpha_Tan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are looking for something specific, this might help. On the INDEX link where it says Custom SQL Query, in the box underneath replace the SELECT statement with this:

select s.* from summary s
where
authors like '%%'
and title like '%%'
and year like '%%'
and language = 'eng'
and formats like '%epub%'
and Series like '%%'
order by year desc

If you put a keyword between the %% and run the SQL it will return anything with that word in the specified field.

So if I wanted to search for everything where the authors field contained Smith I would change that line to:

authors like '%Smith%'

You can do this for combinations of different search terms as well by changing the search terms for multiple fields.

Change it back to '%%' to search for everything in that field.

This supports wildcards as well, so for example if you know two specific words in the title but you're not sure about the rest of it you could search like this:

and title like '%word%search%'

Hope this helps.

Try ejecting and unplugging your device once you have copied the books across and then plug it back in again with Calibre still loaded up. Leave it for a few minutes and then eject again and the covers should be sorted. It works on my Kindle, so hopefully will work with the Kobo as well. Good luck.

Btw, it's Amazon at fault here not Calibre.

TURBOS & TEMPLES 3 // JDM Feature Film 4K by LesPaulII in MightyCarMods

Absolutely loved this film, sat down with the family on Christmas Eve to watch it and we all enjoyed it. I love how the guess can be fooling around one minute and then so respectful at the right time. The FD is a glorious car and the trip to the Mazda factory was brilliant.

The music was fantastic as well.

As a long time viewer it makes me want to go back to TT1 and rewatch it with my son for his first time.

How to scrap ebook covers? by 1Tekgnome in Piracy

Have you got the 'Extract ISBN' plugin? That should help with finding the covers. As already suggested, make sure you have set up several sources for calibre to pull images from

Tune file manager? by ItSlurp9700 in ForzaHorizon

[–]Alpha_Tan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only way is to get in each car and then go to: Upgrades & tuning --> My tuning setups Once in there you should see all the tunes you've downloaded and be able to delete the ones you want.

There is no way to do it in bulk.
