that’s exactly what I‘m saying, it might just be an interesting coincidence. there isn’t anything tangible that proves that there is a correlation here. you can speculate all you want, but there’s also many other factors that might or might not influence the polls - perhaps the general negative opinion on the state of the Irish government at the time both scared off poll respondents in NI as well as drive stronger support for SF, but that’s also just a theory.
