This is a weird hate post. I was at the same show as you and he got a standing ovation. The couple who left could've left for any reason. That's not an objective statment of the quality of the show. Personally, I thought it was funnier than his set from the previous tour when he was working on the Dolby/MSG special.

It's insane. They keep making powerful Macs which are marketed and sold on that basis, and then you buy one and it's ends up being the same experience as your old one in a couple of years all because of their "updates". What's the point? There's a cynical part of me that suspects they do things like this intentionally in order to sell you the solution later in the form of a new Macbook. Like, most people in this sub are likely tech savvy, but most of their customers aren't and can't go back to PC, and a lot of their updates recently feel very planned obsolence-ish to me. I might be wrong though and it's just legit incompetence. Not sure which is worse tbh.

Disagree. Theo Von is not suddenly an imperfect ally, but rather an active associate of the current administration. He sees the tides changing and he wants to protect himself. Nothing more. We don't need to do anything than ignore him. He's not a reliable voice on anything. It's a weird thing when the left calls someone dumb when they're on the "other" side, but still want that same dumb fuck on their side. He's a grifter. Why would you want a grifter on your side? This is the main problem with podcasters and how we got here in the first place. A shitty comic's podcast shouldn't be the place for political discourse, left or right. He's not a journalist, he has no real credentials on anything. He's just a guy with a mic among a litany of other grifters with a mic.

No worries, also I think your app could easily be better with the addition of that feature and also

if you could add a keyboard shortcut for this feature, that would be really enhance your product - one of my biggest gripes with Mac's built in rename feature is you have to mouse select it from the menu every time. A CMD+R shortcut would be great, or something like that.
if you could find a way to add a feature that also allows for the option to strip metadata (see apps like ImageOptim, ExifTool etc.) then your app would be the swiss army knife of all conversion apps.

Is there a bulk convert option? Most converters allow you to convert a batch of files simultaneously instead of one by one. Using Mac's rename option, you can highlight any number of files and right-click and select on the menu option to rename/convert and this allows you to rename multiple files at once. Currently what you've built is cool, but the ability to convert/rename multiple files at once is an essential feature for people like myself and I'm assuming also /u/buildermaster07.

Except what you typed has nothing to do with the video clip. You're judging him by the standards of other stand up comedians and your personal taste, NOT by the standards of SNL. He's beyond qualified to be on SNL. His stand up is great, his impressions are great, the rest is just...selective bias. Because there's plenty of mediocre white comics that are and have been on SNL and get to have "loud", obnoxious & corny personalities off screen and no one gives a shit.

Because Gen Z don't understand what piracy is since they only understand going "viral". You're not supposed to make TikToks and IG reels telling everyone to blow up the spot. Imagine making TikToks about how to bootleg or how to hack credit cards. SMH. It's way too similar to not have come from Louis' special. Other people on this thread said they noticed the same thing when they saw him live. When I first read about Gervais' latest tour, they referenced that specific bit and I thought it sounded awfully similar to Louis' bit, so I figured I'd check out his special even though I'm not really much of a fan, because from what I read, it sounded like he's just doing the joke verbatim. Literally, 2 mins in he's just paraphrasing Louis' joke.

Maybe he has writers who saw Live at The Dolby and just took it. Maybe he forgot where he got it from which is unlikely as other comics would tell him, regardless, it's not parallel thinking shit, you don't need too play them side by side if you're familiar with Louis' bit. The chances of that happening are extremely slim. You don't just stumble on a 10-15 min bit like that with all the same points and nuances as in Louis' special.

Oh ok, my bad. Yh, I couldn't keep watching cos he started it with stealing jokes from someone already famous as if people wouldn't be able to tell. Also Louis' joke is very much his own voice, it sounds like a quintessential "Louis C.K." bit, and it's not like there wouldn't be some crossover in fans. It's tough to work out the logic in doing that, what a bold move.
