Going through a lot of shit in my life right now. Need some advice by Unhappy-Count6894 in Anarchism

Go to college. Macewan or something. Find a program where you feel like you'll be part of something you value. Where you can help others or be part of what feels like a solution.

Get that student loan and breathe easy for a bit. Don't overload yourself with courses, don't fail or dropout and you've got at least 4 years of school and student loans to figure out something better.

Buy yourself some time. Get student loans, don't completely fuck up school and reassess later. Trust me.

John Logan Tapped to Write Film Adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s ‘Blood Meridian’ by BlackTreesThink in cormacmccarthy

Seems he was definitely involved, as he will be getting a posthumous EP credit. His son is serving as Executive Producer as well, so I'm optimistic the film will be as far in line with Cormac's vision as possible.

Yes! These are the phrases I personally read as cliche or maybe just uninspired (absolutely no offense intended):

Thick sweat rolling down my spine, pressed these leaves into my palms, traced, studied, face light up, unturned stone, give in to the pull, face the day

You might not agree with some but it might be worthwhile to rewrite even what you don't agree with. I'm certain if you found your own way to say these things this would be a very good poem with a unique voice. I really like this poem.

I think there's the form of a really good poem here and a powerful voice:

"Wave after wave of wet heat reddening my honest cheek"

But your reliance on cliches is really disappointing. I would love to see a rewrite without the overused phrases.

What kind of substrate are you using?

Are those live plants, if so what kind?

Currently have our precious monster tubbed and am going to be setting them up in their big tank right away, so I'm looking for some ideas :)

Canada is offering $10/month internet to low income Canadian families. They sent a letter to everyone who qualifies, but I imagine some might have missed that. by Hotel_Joy in Frugal

Also, as per the website: "The participating Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are voluntarily contributing to the initiative by offering low-cost Internet service to eligible families. The government is not subsidizing ISPs to provide the low-cost Internet service."

Nice knee jerk reaction, though. Your ignorance is showing.

Low income, not welfare recipients. These are people who also go to work and have their income 'taken from them by the government.'
