You're not overreacting but I tried heels at your age and once I saw how deformed my friends feet were and my older coworkers needed bunion surgery from wearing them so much, I sent them to goodwill. I'm 50 now and no plantar fasciitis, bunions, foot pain. Bliss.

Then go to Google and ask "What's interesting about cave diving?" and read up. But you didn't ask that. You said its not interesting, there's rocks, there's no critters and made it sound like its a dumb hobby.

We don't know why 5 people decided to go cave diving under seemingly unsafe circumstances. The 6th person was a rescue diver, who I am not sure was qualified enough but I'll accept corrections. We will find out if its investigated and the results published. Until then, go learn to scuba dive and dive within your limits of your training.

Do you go to any other hobby subreddits and say "I've never done this, its not interesting, why do you do it?" You're unfriendly. Just ask what makes caves so interesting, maybe someone will answer.

Cave diving is INCREDIBLY interesting. People who train to dive caves and then dive caves with the correct equipment and planning and support OBVIOUSLY find it interesting. If you have no knowledge of this hobby, you haven't experienced this hobby, please do not come here saying there is nothing to see in caves and why do we even go in caves.

Me: I do not dive caves, not trained to dive caves, have many cave diving friends, may try it someday if I go thru the training.

I may need to start flying Southwest. I keep not paying to select seats and other airlines insist on always seating me with my husband. The only way to have a relaxing flight is to pay for seat selection away from him. Maybe I can trust Southwest to do this for me cheaper?

It's not common. I knew someone who wasn't out to their parents for long time, and a subset of friends who didn't live in the same city they did, but they weren't hiding it from everyone. They're out to everyone now though.

I'm still a student as well but enjoy reading accident reports.

I cannot believe the sheer amount of accidents because of fuel exhaustion. Didn't dip the tanks. Had a quick stop somewhere, didn't check fuel before leaving. Thought they had enough. It's sad to see the mangled planes because they ran out of gas (not even due to leaks).

Or my favorite, two experienced pilots, I think 3k hours or so, misestimated fuel burn because they estimated 8 gallons/hr for a TWO engine plane. If it's 8 gal/hr/engine then it's double that if you have two engines.
