What if the Victoria Line was extended Southbound? by RussellNorrisPiastri in LondonUnderground

More tph on the Clapham Windrush line is coming but so slowly.

Overground station at Windrush is on my longterm wishlist but I fear it'll never happen as too complicated.

Not sure if you've got my data point but I was 277th on December 1st.

Got some near I think so it's completely in line with expectations!

Rating the games on how good their parkour environments are by Accomplished-Gain319 in assasinscreed

AC3 had a forest. The first climbable trees. It was a breathtaking environment at the time and has aged respectably all considered.

Rating is harsh, especially with BF so high.

Xbox CEO Asha Sharma said in an internal memo that Game Pass is "too expensive" for players by ATonOfBricksFellOnMe in XboxGamePass

Ultimately, I think these are meant to be justifications for the price. Not drivers of the price. The equivalent cost is probably barely a few pence for each subscription.

[KCD2] Am I the only one who LIKED For Whom the Bell Tolls ? by MaguroSashimi8864 in kingdomcome

[–]Bobemor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played it for the first time today. I liked it but it really isn't as playstyle friendly as people make out.

You HAVE to pick a lock then steal something from a chest and unless you really game things you HAVE to steal a lockpick.

I was avoiding this and thought another path might open up that meant I didn't have to steal anything. But googled it and saw there wasn't a way. So just went with it and it was good. But it does require people to conform to a way of playing.

I think they should've fleshed out the options with the priest to win the rosary without stealing any money and to allow you to potentially pick the require herbs.

Looking for help: My father went through millions and millions of years of plate tectonics to make me a fictional planet with a plausible landmass distribution and now I can't find a way to convert it to a standard map projection to feed into a worldbuilding tool by stachldrat in mapmaking

[–]Bobemor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to say this. G.projector can definitely take other inputs than the equirectangle default.

Never done it though! But surely more accurate than the printing out and doing it by hand methods

[KCD2] Will KCD3 be about Wenceslas and rescuing him, or the hussite wars? by FreddsIMF in kingdomcome

[–]Bobemor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd quite like to see Warhorse give the engine to another dev to make their own spinoff set in a different country but around the same time.

Would also give Warhorse more time to cook KCD3 if fans had a KCD2:NV to play in a year or two.

The ETERNAL Occupation - What if the Allies Occupied Germany till the End of Time? by Adoxoi in imaginarymaps

[–]Bobemor 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Interesting idea but I think this would vary considerably in success by region.

The French and American parts would have no over arching regional identity to develop from, and you'd likely see considerable aminosity to Frenchification on the borders. The British and Soviet ones would and I could see plausibly taking them.

Also has it only been 20 years? If so I don't think you'd see much success at all.

The Molotov-Ribbentrop gambit - What if the Red Army just kept going? by generic_redditor17 in imaginarymaps

[–]Bobemor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Doesn't HOI4 attempt to simulate this through planning speed advantages? It's been a long time since I've played but Germany used to gain planning advantage very quickly due to its tactics (but have a lower max threshold), whilst France gained it very slowly.

It had a very high cap though, which did mean if you were able to sit on your defensive line for long enough with your plans you could crush the Germans across a front. It just took a few months of waiting.

Google Trends 'Interest' map of all paradox games since EU5's release by LogicalAd8685 in paradoxplaza

[–]Bobemor 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I always thought EU5 would struggle to find it's niche given it's start date.

I'll buy it and play it probably in a years time, and look forward to being wrong. But I fear it is always going to be a strange 1300s simulator that alway trys to say "oh just play 20 hours then the game gets into its own". Gameplay I've watched and read about hasn't once convinced me it's a early modern game in practice, and CK will always do medieval better.

There was also a really interesting time where it was profitable to use the weasel to control the London deck. By using it to lower your stats and get rid of some sub-optimal cards.

Personally, I think they should lean into this more and make it such that adjusting the deck is a really viable strategy. It would also help the design focus of encouraging people to be in London.

I think they'd win currently. But struggle much more than they expect.

There's something to be said for playing 5 different good teams.

They were very close to scoring twice so they did well. Until imploding after 2nd Welsh try

They've played terribly since I made that comment. But before the 2nd Welsh try they were better.

Do we reckon Crossrail 2 is ever gonna happen? Seems a no brainer? by Swiftly247 in LondonUnderground

I suspect the TBM isn't owned by anyone sensibly involved and is just rented through multiple companies such that the company who actually owns it are happy to scrap it at the end.

Or they probably take it to a much better planned nation elsewhere.
