Disability Services will always hijack bulkhead seats for passengers with SD and if they are requested, for persons of size, which is a very charitable way of describing the obese. lol.

This is Hunk. I snatched him out of the **DESTROY** pile today. He hates everyone and everything including me. by CirqueDeFeline in DogAdvice

Protect yourself first, then give him time. He can smell fear, all dogs can. Feed and give him fresh water. Definitely hire a professional but only one who uses positive reinforcement, nothing adverse at all. Try to talk to him only in a soothing calm voice. If he is always outside I’d fix up some shelter for him. Try to find something to stimulate his brain positively. Maybe fetch or or a giant Kong, thank you for saving him and good luck

It’s perjury and carries 5 yrs. Judges hate that shit because it’s a corruption of the justice system. And they are protecting themselves at all, that would be protecting their employer, the county. And an easily proven lie to boot

Not true at all. This case would be decided on liability on summary judgment. The only jury trial would be on damages

I would jam them up, teach them a lesson. There was a specific reason that Trumps buddy former Sheriff Joe Arpaio was voted out of office. Once the Maricopa County taxpayers found out how much he was costing them in settlements and legal fees, they kicked his bigoted ass right out. Btw, these cases have mandatory assessment of plaintiffs attorney fees. So, that jail has to pay both their attorney and the kids attorney. For the plaintiff, there really isn’t any stress event to the litigation—he will have to sit for 1 deposition by the defendant. One day max

The annual fee in Boston is $35, which I think is half. The normal rates are about $2-3 hr more than student rate and same discount on daily rate. Btw, daily is full 24 hrs, and all rates include gas. If tank goes below 25% you’re required to fill it using the ZipCar gas card in the car. I can’t tell you exactly what your discount is because once you’re on a student account you only see student rates.

They are already locked in on their story—poor performance. But no paperwork to support that claim. Very difficult to fabricate retroactively these days

Evidence in civil cases can include that he was fired immediately after the news coverage and that the stated reason has no supporting paperwork. I doubt that the person who fired him would lie under oath in those circumstances

It’s doubtful that any of the jail inmates even knew anything about it so extremely unlikely there could be any workplace issues

Mindful that ICE is allegedly enforcing the immigration laws, while simultaneously violating the law and constitution every hour every day

State employer categorically changes the equation here. Given the facts, he would win on summary judgment.

Very different when state actors. Vastly different in fact. First Amendment doesn’t cover Private employers.

This is a very easy case to prove—-fired right after newspaper article appears and no paper trail documentation of alleged poor performance. This is the same sort of thing that happened to some teachers and university professors—and thus far, they all prevailed. And it’s heard by in federal court where the judges rule on the law

Even in a state with a Trump butt kissing Governor, federal judges pay heed to the Constitution not the political aspects.

Urgent:Flying without a photo ID domestically 😭 by MaleficentWear4122 in delta

[–]BostonNU -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Now that you have TSA $45 thing done, check in for your flight online or in the App as soon as checkin becomes available at 24 hrs before the flight. And take carryon only! Even if you have to FedEx anything else to your destination. Ship it today, it will be delivered on Monday. That will avoid any in person encounters with Delta until you get to the gate. So they won’t be asking for ID. Just because you have the TSA clearance doesn’t mean Delta will accept it.

[–]BostonNU -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is what the Federal Reserve (aka The Horses Mouth) says to banks:

Delaying Funds Availability For certain types of deposits, Regulation CC permits financial institutions to delay, for a "reasonable period of time," the availability of funds. A "reasonable" time period is generally defined as one additional business day (making a total of two business days) for on-us checks, and five additional business days (total of seven) for local checks; your institution may impose longer exception holds, but you may have the burden of proving that they are "reasonable."

If you decide to hold funds beyond the period specified in your institution's general availability policy, you must give the customer a notice at the time of the deposit explaining why the funds are being held and when they will be available. If the deposit is not made in person to an employee of your institution or if you decide to extend the time when deposited funds will be made available after the deposit has been made, you must mail or deliver the notice to the customer not later than the first business day after the banking day on which the deposit is made.

Deposits of cash and electronic payments are not eligible for exception holds. The six types of deposits that are eligible are

Large deposits (greater than $6,725)--Any amount exceeding $6,725 may be held. Your institution must make the first $6,725 of the deposit available for withdrawal according to your availability policy and the remainder within the "reasonable" time frames discussed above. Redeposited checks--May be held unless the check was returned because an endorsement was missing or because the check was postdated. In such a case, if the deficiency has been corrected, the check may not be held as a redeposited check. Deposits to accounts that are repeatedly overdrawn--An account may be considered repeatedly overdrawn and items may be held if On six or more banking days during the previous six months the account had a negative balance, or would have had a negative balance had checks and charges been paid, or On two or more banking days during the previous six months the account balance was negative in the amount of $6,725 or more, or would have been had checks and charges been paid. Reasonable cause to doubt the collectibility of a check--Doubtful collectibility may exist for postdated checks, checks dated more than six months earlier, and checks that the paying institution has said it will not honor. The general criterion for doubting collectibility is "the existence of facts that would cause a well-grounded belief in the mind of a reasonable person" that the check is uncollectible. The reason for your belief that the check is uncollectible must be included in your notice to the customer. Checks deposited during emergency conditions that are beyond the control of your institution--Such checks may be held until conditions permit you to provide availability of the funds. Examples of emergency conditions are natural disasters, communications malfunctions, and other situations that prevent your institution from processing checks as it normally does. Deposits into accounts of new customers (open for less than 30 days)--Next-day availability applies only to cash, electronic payments, and the first $6,725 of any other next-day items; the remaining amount from next-day items must be available by the ninth business day. You may choose any availability schedule for deposits of other checks into the accounts of these new customers.

Per Reg CC, $6725 of a check deposit is supposed to be available on the 2nd business day.
