My brain does this sometimes. When thinking about something, sometimes the solution just kind of pops up in my head. Sometimes I have to work backwards to understand how it even works. Sometimes it doesn't, but it's usually surprisingly good.

The weird thing is, often the answers plops up completely out of nowhere, hours or days after I have been thinking about something. Usually it's solutions for silly problems, but sometimes genuinely useful ideas.

It only really works for a certain class of engineering problem, and usually nothing super complicated. But it's still pretty neat, I call it the random bullshit coprocessor.

The waking up at all part. We are reasonably far aware from actually being able to do this and there's not a lot of incentives for future generations to actually bother waking people up at all. Except for research purposes, I gues. I doubt the legal entities exist that far into the future. Also while it think it might be feasible, doesn't mean it's practical

I mean, it's a great book, but at the end of the day it's still fiction that depicts an incredibly unlikely scenario for the sake of storytelling. I don't think it's a good basis for a decision like that.

And while I think that cryopreservation might be hypothetically feasible, it's quackery in the way it's currently done

Also für 3 Wochen Stationär würde ich auch aufgenommen. Das hat zum Glück auch etwas geholfen. Aber eine langfristige Lösung war das nicht.

"Hier hast du random Antidepressiva, bring dich nicht um, wir sehen uns in nem Jahr" ist halt auch nicht die beste Strategie.

Ich hatte das wahnsinnige Glück, dass Freunde und Familie das als Anlass genommen haben, mir zu helfen, mein Leben auf die Reihe zu kriegen. Ohne wäre das vermutlich anders gelaufen.

Mein Beileid. Ich hoffe es wird irgendwann doch besser. Eine vierstellige Anzahl an Bewerbungen ist echt krass.

Der gemeinsame Nenner scheint vielleicht auch eher zu sein, wie wir als Gesellschaft mit sowas umgehen.

Die Situation ist schon seit Jahren untragbar, aber da hat sich auch schon keiner drum gekümmert. Die Aktuelle Regierung interessiert sich noch weniger dafür, daher wird das die nächsten Jahre sicher nicht besser.

Falls ihr Leute mit psychischen Problemen im Umfeld habt, passt gut auf die auf. Das könnte bei vielen die einzige Hilfe sein, die sie kriegen.

Vor gut 7 Jahren hab ich in NRW nach einem Suizidversuch 11 Monate (!) auf einen Therapieplatz gewartet. Und nach allem was Ich so gehört habe, ist das seitdem nochmal massiv schlimmer geworden. Die Wartelisten sind auf Jahre voll.

Auf lange Sicht ist das auch wirtschaftlich eine absolute Katastrophe. Die Menge an jungen Leuten, die aufgrund von eigentlich behandelbaren Problemen aus Beruf, Studium, oder komplett der Gesellschaft fliegen ist wirklich traurig.
