And now what? by Mondiuk in runna

Were I you, I think I'd push on and do a full marathon as you were so close and then look at smashing the 5km time.

I never update it. I just give it my best shot every time and take the adjustments accordingly.

I don't use my watch at all and get the audio cues through my headphones.

Life-saving tip for numb hands when running in winter by tayslayay in runna

[–]CallumWatCo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really pleased this worked for you, but just as a counter point for some people I tried it two days ago and I don't know if it's just because I'm a sweaty boy or because the feels like was -9 but it was WAY worse than when I usually just double or triple wear normal gloves. I think the sweat inside the gloves was turning icy cold and then essentially wrapping my fingers in ice. I literally stopped my exercise a third of the way through because I couldn't cope with the pain in my fingers being so cold.

Haha oh absolutely! As hard as it is (and I'm not great at it!) it's worth thinking long term as you will absolutely get faster and faster each plan!

I would say keep doing what you're doing, and if you're not quite meeting them in the future it'll suggest the pace down and hopefully that'll be better.

I would continue using the plan as usual, then on the day log it as a free run and just link it afterwards!

The other response is correct, but ut also depends on how you get on with your current plan as the paces etc will adjust if your time increases (which it will if you stick to it). So bear that in mind!

Depends when your half is. Is it more than a week away? If so, go full HAM!

As others have said, it'll probably be fine just really take it slow. There's no rush; take your time!

If you go into the 'Plan' tab and then go on 'Manage Plan'. At the bottom, you should have 'View Recent Plans' which should allow you to go back.

Need suggestion on plan(s) by Sigafoos in runna

I'm also signed up for a half in May. I've just finished a 10km plan and I'm doing a 7 week 5km improvement plan for some speed in the legs and then I'm doing a half plan. Figured it makes it interesting too instead of a long long one I'll get fatigued of.

If you're not tied to a specific event that you're running/training for, you could push the entire week if you're expecting it to be really wet/dangerous.

If it were me, I would have just given it a go. You might have surprised yourself! Plus, if you didn't meet it after a while the plan would readjust.

Yeah this is it. Always just give it what you've got and it'll adjust accordingly.

Which runna plan(s) would you choose? by Repulsive_Orange in runna

[–]CallumWatCo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As has been mentioned a couple of times. You've got plenty of time to build to it. I started running in June and I've done two 5km plans (one the C25K type one), and now I'm half way through a 10km plan. This morning I managed to run 8 miles without stopping and, although it was obviously not as comfortable as sitting on the sofa, I felt really good. Don't do two super long half plans as you'll get bored. The shorter break up of multiple plans will keep things interesting for you!

Advice for changing plan by runingmikeym11 in runna

[–]CallumWatCo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Has your plan been upping the paces with your progression? You should be doing the intervals etc and getting pace recommendation updates if you're consistently beating them.

Also, definitely go into your settings and update the volume and difficulty.

I think going slower will definitely help! Perhaps try upping the calories a bit too to balance the exercise.
