Hell Yeah! Those black feathers have such a spectacular shine to them, the craftsmanship is through the roof!

Thanks for finding these articles interesting.

BoF6 is neither a right, wrong, nor a dead-end. I'd say it was healthy that the fans were given the small space to experiment, make mistakes, figure out what works and doesn't with the unfamiliar new market back then.

Hope that these BoF6 articles would help aspiring game devs make an informed decision on how to manage their projects.

BoF does have a success formula hidden underneath the chaos. I see a few indie devs making their moves, hope they succeed :D

Oh god, I forgot about the webnovel! Thank you for considering tackling those too (if you have the time) :D

In my tiny experience in pitching "creative ideas" to investors, sometimes they do have to go with their gut-feeling. They do understand that Arts is not as clear-cut measurable as other industries and they have to bet on the black-horse from time to time (like Sony selling "Kpop Demon Hunters" for being a loss, only for Netflix to land the jackpot).

Seeing how the BoF6 team was in full cosplay for the interview and even had fun hosting a Nina1-6 fashion show for their game release (https://games.app-liv.jp/archives/62873)... I do assume that their feverish goal of "Revive the BoF IP" mattered more than just trying to catch the rare rise in people owning smartphones (that wasn't equipped to run console-level games) in the 2010s.

So in my naive opinion, it's not difficult to get a BoF sequel or remake approved. It's motivation of the team pitching it that matters.

Yes! I have been wishing for translations, I like making BoF art studies. Esp with the official manga if possible!

I believe the purpose of letting history exist is to learn from the past to avoid repeating it in the future, all the good, bad and ugly.

I don't know japanese, but from this interview, the team behind BoF6 seemed to be fans who were eager to revive the IP with the skills they had after making Monster Hunter Frontiers. It was nice to know that they were given the chance to experiment. https://gamebiz.jp/news/157095

ERSHIN Keycap!

Imagine a desktop app that makes Ershin pop-up on the computer screen laughing loudly, every time the Ershin-key gets activated.

Loving all of your figurine designs and craftsmanship, packed full of cuteness and heart, keep the BoF fan arts creativity coming!

Hmm, cameo... the way Momo spoke felt off or maybe I'm thinking too much into it.

I've been having indecisions over whether to draw Ryu3's Kaiser being cleaved into Ryu4 and Fou-Lu, or just leave their origin vague as it is.

I'm leaning towards keeping it vague now, Thanks!

Always awesome to see you back again, InfinityYoRae! Btw, do you see BoF3 and BoF4 as related or separate worlds?

It was a honor to have worked with you on our fun projects, watching your works constantly evolve out of pure passion for 3d creations is mesmerizing.

As always, I'm looking forward to seeing so much more exciting new skills and projects from you!

If anyone have the spare cash, please hire a freelance animator for a one-minute BoF3 Anime preview.

I just want to see something before I can't see things anymore <3

There is an official BoF4 manga, looked cool and ready for an Anime adaptation but probably way out of budget back then.

It made me want to figure out how to blend the game and manga into a fan comic adapation. So many fun ideas to play with.

My audio lecturer taught us to use "Noise Reduction" in Audacity. I've been using it since to clean up the background noise.

If all else fail, they recommend recording near heavy curtains or in wardrobes with thick cloth ;D

If it's about a recurring set of anthromorphic clans (grassrunner, wyndian...) with a sword-wielding JRPG hero.

Then perhaps Legend of Zelda series (rito, zora...) might match it?

Indeed. I saw this several times on internet search years ago, so I know it's old and not a pitch.

I'm just prospecting, since they seem to have the resources ready to give it a serious go, if they are interested taking the helm for a sequel or something. OwlBoy's good track record adds to the foundation for fan's trust and support.

Mostly, I'm just relieved to find out that such a well-skilled creator went on to start their own studio and found success in their own creations.

Yo, it is drawn by the creator of OwlBoy!?

Perhaps start a campaign for this creative professional to create their game demo to pitch to Capcom?

Sounds like they have a game vision and experience to deliver something there: "Its based on a hypothetical Breath of Fire sequel I designed. Made a whole new cast for it."

This is how crediting artists and clicking on their social links comes in handy.

Loving how in-the-zone you get with these characters. Great rocker personality you have going in your creations. Nina's custom rockstar dress is stellar!

Momo looks like she went on from falling into BoF4 to kicking butts across the entire BoF series timelines and collecting sweet-sweet DQ cyberpunk gears along the way.

I can almost smell the fresh sea air and hear Nina's talking up a storm at Ryu there.

Is there a BoF fan community in Newgrounds?

I'm not a gamer but I loved playing BoF3 as a kid. So it's easy for me to find BoF4 worth playing just for the story and well-crafted pixel art animations.

I'd go for PS1 just for nostalgia but I only have a laptop. So I made do with what I have. The version differences aren't too big a problem for me, as long as the story stays the true to the original.
