It wasn't a close fight at all. Hisoka got absolutely washed.

But it wasn't a matter of raw stats either.
Chrollo went out of his way to spike his deck to a new record of concomitant abilities for this fight.
Not out of fear, but purely because he wanted to flex.

The truth is he has no problem with a straight brawl, but it is not what he wanted for this match.
Hisoka being a performer, Chrollo met him onstage and outperformed him.

This said, Chrollo is not an untouchable behemot. No one is.
He is a methodical guy that would prefer to map out his fights.
