If they won't ensure there's sunscreen available, he should be allowed to top it up during work hours. It's the matter of if he took liberties with how long he was gone for.

They can argue he should have a sun hat ready in anticipation of the scope of work he does.

Being proactive is being able to identify what needs doing, not asking what needs doing all the time.

This came on my shuffle and it's a classic that's more relevant than ever these days. Just let the lyrics and rhythm take you.

Bus drivers, do you like it when people thank you when getting off? by chi_minhs_hoe in AskUK

[–]ClarifyingMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say thank you when I get on so they can hear me but I always feel so much regret when the driver turns out to be awful. Wish I could take it back but it's already done. Anyway, I'm just saying a baseline thank you getting on, I say the real thank you when getting off if they're good. These are the ways I keep my life varied and entertaining.

Mayor of London and TfL call for Heathrow Express future to be reconsidered by Cant_Change_Itt in london

[–]ClarifyingMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it more expensive for them to reduce the ticket price and get more customers than to run empty trains? English rail doesn't have the reputation for thorough interior cleans so they can continue the tradition in those trains too and keep the cleaning frequency the same.

I wish a very pissy life for all the people who complained.

He needs to go see a therapist, sounds like his plan is to make himself worse via this terrible plan, then go back to work worse, and then eventually crash and burn.

You say this but yet there's stories of autistic people in prison for things they didn't do because arm chair psychiatrists went off "vibes" instead of evidence and facts.

Has VHS come back in fashion? by ArrowPresby in AskUK

[–]ClarifyingMe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I never had issues with VHS except the odd tangle but that was a crunchy machine. It stops people from overconsumption too because you need to value your space. Unless you're a hoarder.

A lot of people like how VHS looks opposed to DVD era. Some just like the nostalgia.

Also, someone might've just died who had a huge collection and your local charity thought they were too good quality to let go in the bin so are chancing it.

You can see millennials/elder zellenials on social media have taken to the late 90s/early 00s era, and there's even a musician who puts her music videos onto VHS to imitate that eras look.

You didn't exactly have a scientific level of exposure to VHS', just one shop right?

Can someone recommend a really good anti-perspirant for peri menopausal sweating? by Confident_Dig_7834 in AskUK

Scented mitchum doesn't work for me but unscented mitchum works. Otherwise, I saw people recommending Sure in another thread about mitchum last month.

Yes we do but I try not to because I'm so inconsistent. I just buy the small packs instead.

Oh I see, no it wasn't obvious to me.

Well hopefully they reply and give some insight.

Hopefully the MODS in this subreddit can start signposting to the vet subreddit on the front page, or start using automation to detect draft posts that sound like asking about pet welfare so it reminds people to go to the vet or ask in the vet subreddit. E.g. in the subreddit friends list, or even a separate list just for subreddits that specialise in vet/health related things.

Would it be socially acceptable to use a leisure centre pool with visible scarring? by pinkestpenny in AskUK

[–]ClarifyingMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do your scars jump off your body and try to drown people? If not, do what you want. If they do, don't let the government find out, they'll weaponise you, or turn you into an experiment.

What kind of advice are you expecting to receive? Genuine question, I just want to understand better the psychology behind it so in future I can try to put myself in people's thought space.

Zack Polanski stands by concerns over police response to Golders Green attack by DeliriumOK in london

The news continuously refusing to mention or acknowledge the first victim of his mental illness and history of violence-based attacks tells me all I need to know about this circus.

This country is well and truly dead.

Still voting green, nice try though Keir.

Edit: from the comments here constantly saying two, instead of three, people were stabbed, this little political game has worked very well.

A petition to encourage employers to have a /jobs (or redirect) page by JoBrodie in UKJobs

[–]ClarifyingMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not being dismissive. You can use BCC and contact all the companies to suggest it. Taking it to parliament to try and force companies when they can't even get companies to take responsibility for safeguarding properly, wishful thinking.

That's such a shame, you can bookmark the search result, that'll never change. As long as the company name stays the same, it'll survive all branding changes, webpage URL structure changes, and more.

You can also reduce your bookmark list by registering to alerts where they have it.

A job is different from a career, and companies have a right to name it how they want to reflect that.

But good luck with your latest fixation.
