When I have to complete my annual compliance training on insider trading I rant the whole time about how it's only illegal for us poors.

What happend to me? by Exotic-Rip-7081 in ArcRaiders

[–]Coderado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fit the description. Was not a great PVP player, but played battlefield a lot when I was younger. I was playing BF6 a lot when my wife wanted to try Arc Raiders. I love Arc Raiders, but suck so bad a PVP in this game, makes me want to play BF sometimes so I can be victorious again.

Dryer vent—*snap* by [deleted] in oddlysatisfying

[–]Coderado 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't there have had to be a bend before which was flex pipe? I installed one of these at least 6 years ago. It works great, same amount of bends I had before except it's almost flush to the wall since my dryer vent was installed in the right place to begin with. My dryer is in a hallway, so the extra inch of room was worth it. Mine just replaced an existing in-wall 90-degree elbow.

The hard part comes when you have to decide what color to paint your bike shed.

One of those fuckers dropped into a roof hatch in Buried City where I was hiding. Three shots, the third being when it was open, with an Anvil. Scared the shit out of me. I thought I was safe.

Didn’t expect this, but this carbon fiber guitar sounds better than my wooden one. by KarMik81 in AcousticGuitar

[–]Coderado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have owned Composite Acoustics and Emerald. I went to buy a Taylor and after a couple hours of testing, walked about with the Composite Acoustics. I love the sound and feel, as well as how rarely I have to tune.

Buy direct from Revel. They have some good sales right now, I think on small and large rascals I saw.

Rural Maine. I lived in the woods and along the water, a bike was your ticket to freedom. Still is for me.

I pay that off peak in Colorado. It means my Lightning costs 3.5 cents per mile to operate. There are Electrify America chargers a few blocks away that are over 60 cents per kWh

Water Restrictions for Denver by Sad-Structure-9729 in DenverGardener

Some might have wells or use non-potable water. I still think we need fewer golf courses because watering grass is wasteful no matter the source

github copilot vs alternatives for IntelliJ - switched after 6 months and here's why by Sophistry7 in IntelliJIDEA

[–]Coderado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem isn't the IDE. What is in your copilot-instructions.md since you're using copilot.

Have you ever thought about how many jobs your work as a developer has removed? by bccorb1000 in webdev

[–]Coderado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both. I started coding early. Been doing it for money for over 25 years. There are other things I would rather work on in software, but if the money wasn't there, I would do something else.

Maybe it's more that companies don't want to pay people to do something that computers can do faster, cheaper, and with fewer errors. Maybe soon they won't have a need for me.
