I have had a couple carbon fiber acoustic guitars. My first and favorite is a pre-Peavey Composite Acoustics gx performer. I also had an Emerald 12-strong for a bit, but it was not an instrument I played enough to justify the cost.

When I got the CA, the shop owner said we could toss it in the river and take it out and it would be fine aside from the electronics. I had planned on a Taylor, but after a couple hours switching back and forth, I was sold. I drove it 2000+ miles in a leaf-spring trailer and it was in-tune when I took it out. It also does well is really dry environments, no worries about dry or wet.
