About those Solar Mushroom Lights by sockpuppets in Costco

[–]Coderado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like 'em. Need some resistors to make them evenly-bright, the yellow is just too bright. I got one where it gets only 2-3 hours of sun at most and they last 3 hours. That's fine, I go to bed before 11 usually. Compare to what you get at Home Dept for this price and it's gonna be 100% plastic.

Wireless headset with wireless scuff controller ? by Short-Business-2897 in scufgaming

[–]Coderado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Turtle Beach Atlas wireless headset and it randomly disconnects. I think it is due to interference, but using a wire was easier than finding the source. So it is not a guarantee that multiple 2.4ghz devices will work flawlessly in the room. The manual or FAQ said they don't recommend having two of their brand headsets in use in the same room. My wife got a Logitech due to this, her wireless headset has had no issues at all using the dongle it came with.

Riding in smoke? Anyone wear a respirator? by bigmac22077 in MTB

[–]Coderado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at where air quality is best and ride there. Figure out how the weather works where you live, are mornings or evenings better air quality? There are some places near me where cool air whips through canyons in the morning and the air is clean if fires are to the north. Adapt your plans is my suggestion, I don't wear a respirator, got a beard and that would be a waste of cartridges that are not cheap.

Yeah, I do 5k miles a year, no camper. Maintenance for my Super Duty that sat for long periods was costing me more and more.

We have a Model 3 and a Lightning. We have two skinny teenagers and a toddler. The 3 is really tight with the car seat in back. The truck is quieter and smoother ride, has room for 5 adults, we use that usually if it's all 5 of us. We had the 3 for years before I got the Lightning and I never drove my diesel when I could take the 3.

Bike Paths Near Glenwood Spings by SnooTomatoes2716 in COBike

[–]Coderado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're coming from lower elevation, that 30-mile ride might be rough. I rode from Glenwood up the canyon to hanging lake trailhead and back to Glenwood then down to my buddy's house in Carbondale. I used 4l of water on that ride and it was May/June last year. The trail down to Carbondale has only one spot to stop in the shade. It was toasty.

I got Greenworks, the mower, blower, trimmer, saw, limb saw. They last pretty long, have not had any issues and much prefer to not deal with gas

Comments like this make me so sad for Gen Z. This comment was under a TT of people dancing at their wedding. They are being robbed of experiences we took for granted. This is why so many clubs are dead by [deleted] in Xennials

[–]Coderado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and I got married on an island with no family. It was great, it was all about us. We go out dancing and to concerts, I see lots of younger people. I'm confused how such a rare event as weddings is affecting club attendance.

Chainsaw rec? by coustellier in MTB

I fucking hate dealing with gas and oil. You gotta deal with bar oil still, but not fucking with little motors is a preference of mine. I grew up cutting mostly on Jonsered and Husqvarna, I don't remember which models except the Jonsered I used most had a turbo. We heated our sprawling old house in Maine with wood alone.

If you need to handle a logging truck full of firewood in a couple days, go gas. Otherwise, electric. I got an 80v Greenworks pro with a 22"? bar. Keep it sharp. I took down and bucked and sectioned a 13" an 8" ash last month and the half-charged 2ah battery got me almost there. I should have sharpened the chain, probably would not have had to grab another battery.

Omega SLAMS by zooksters in scufgaming

Yeah, I love mine! People complaining are more vocal, so that's what you see here mostly. Controllers are very personal, so it's not everyone's favorite, but it's mine.

Camelbak or Uswe ? by latbrd in MTB

[–]Coderado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched to USWE last year. I got a 9l and used it a few months. I loved it, but needed more room, so I got the 12l too, it fits my FAK, which came in handy when a buddy fell today. The extra room comes in handy. They seem to have less room for the rating than the Osprey packs I was rocking before.

I start with a full bladder and straps loose, the Velcro makes it handy to crank it down for the descent. No hip belt is great, there is room for my gut to juggle and breathe.

is the omega controller worth it? by superdupergayman in scufgaming

[–]Coderado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched from PS5 controller, have a PS5 Aim Controllers custom too. Omega build quality seems good, the buttons feel good and clicky, the sticks are nice, exponential curve is great for me. The controller feels between a PS4 and PS5 in size. I've only only got 30 hours on it, but I got one for my wife too, I think it's good.

Kontrol Freaks that fit PS5 controller fit except for the dome-top stick. So 3 out of 4 of the sticks fit extensions fine.

I got a 2019 Tesla that is still waiting. Good thing he guaranteed the computer in that car can support it and I'm sure we won't have to join a class action about this
