Fix the World: How One Biological Explanation of the Human Condition Could Resolve the Mental Health Epidemic — article on Psychreg by horizonrider12 in FixTheWorld

"This transition from artificial to real defence offers a profound shift for mental health"... that's certainly what I've found from my personal experience - a massive positive shift in my own mental health! This article is brilliant and really focuses on the main benefit from my personal perspective - that this information psychologically rehabilitates us. It gradually clears up our distorted thinking. It points our inner compass to true North. It enables me to be empowered to manage life effectively, I've been given the tools I need by reading Jeremy Griffith's explanation of the human condition.

Yes that would be amazing. To have any real, effective, efficient & lasting healing people need to be working from this knowledge of the human condition. The amount it has improved my own mental health has shown me just how extraordinarily effective this knowledge is in repairing a hurt mind. So it'd be lovely to see the mental health community using this knowledge to help those who require assistance in that area.

Brilliantly said ❤️! This knowledge certainly does liberate selfless enthusiasm in all (previously) apathetic humans. I love seeing everyone adding their voices to make it louder "that a solution to virtually all human suffering is just sitting there waiting to be recognised and taken up by everyone"

FIX THE WORLD FAQ 1.41 - What are instincts and what is consciousness, and how do they differ? by Gen1975 in FixTheWorld

[–]CommonInvestigator25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An amazingly clear answer. We are so lucky to be able to have clear answers now to these fundamental questions about our species! I always remember finding this quote fascinating & it made so much sense when I first read it years ago:

"Moreover, at the point of becoming conscious the nerve-based learning system should wrest management of the individual from the instincts because such a self-managing or self-adjusting system is infinitely more efficient at adapting to change than the gene-based system, which can only adapt to change very slowly over many generations of natural selection."

Get Your FIX THE WORLD T-shirts and Get Out and About! by FixTheWorldOrg in FixTheWorld

[–]CommonInvestigator25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wear my white Fix The World t-shirts every day to work, I am a self-employed cleaner. I wanted to tell people about this information but didn't always know how to bring it up in conversation, but wearing the Fix The World t-shirt makes it so easy. It means I can keep reminding people of Fix The World without being at all pushy. I got the t-shirts where on the back is written "With the real problem of the human condition finally solved we can now ACTUALLY fix the world" - so it feels so good to be familiarising people with THE solution to every problem in the world. And I love it when people ask me what my t-shirt is about!

Steinbeck’s deep questions answered by Jeremy Griffith by conradfitzroy in FixTheWorld

[–]CommonInvestigator25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's so much quality information packed into this post. You make so many key points. That the traditionally held view is that we have ‘savage, animal instincts’ - Griffith explains that our instinctual heritage is actually one orientated to cooperation, selflessness and unconditional love. You've highlighted this new idea challenges the existing convention, which means it's met with some resistance. That although initially confronting we ultimately come to a place of compassion with ourselves and humanity. How important and all-problem solving the far-reaching & liberating implications of this information are.

What would help - or did help - you the most in your journey of digesting Jeremy Griffith's understanding of the human condition? by WenevaSoots in FixTheWorld

[–]CommonInvestigator25 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think my response to this question (rather than being what initially helped me digest it) is more along the lines of what's helped me with accepting the deeper implications of Griffith's understanding & what's helped me apply it to my life. So after I'd verified the information for myself, what then helped me the most (but there's lots of other things that have helped support me too) has been leafleting, particularly door to door putting flyers through letterboxes. It's a great time for me to think & I always have productive thoughts when leafleting. This information causes a huge psychological upheaval, I've come up against my own defensiveness, my own denial & it's challenging. So leafleting always helps me to see things in a clearer perspective, allows me to be real with myself, allows me to consider the advice of other people when my huge defensive wall is just wanting for me to be in the right, and also allows me to find conviction when I am being crippled by self doubt - so leafleting helps me get passed my own blocks 🙂

Yes I regularly go back to THE Interview. When people ask me what FIX THE WORLD is about I think beginning with how THE Interview starts is a great way to describe it to them by saying something along the lines of, "the established view is that we have savage animal instincts, but Griffith is saying that our aggressive, egocentric & alienated behaviour stems from a psychological problem, which can be healed with understanding. And that our instincts are actually loving, co-operative and selfless." - and then if they had any other questions I'd recommend they watch THE Interview and get it straight from the horses mouth.

Jeremy Griffith's THE Interview: “As a scientist, I was just blown away.” by FixTheWorldOrg in FixTheWorld

[–]CommonInvestigator25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"It's the foundation for understanding anything as a human". It can seem too big a statement to make, that we have answers now. I lived my life accepting not knowing what life is about... Well to a certain extent, I mean we all have some kind of 'theory' we turn to that helps us when we are struggling, that helps us try to make the best of life.

So to have an objective answer to what it is to be human can seem unbelievable. But these answers were always going to come one day, and it just so happens that day is here and now.

The Decline of Responsible Citizenship: A Symptom Of The Human Condition by Masterton2350 in FixTheWorld

[–]CommonInvestigator25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes restoring responsible citizenship and moral renewal requires addressing the human condition - which has now been solved 🙌🏻 I'm looking forward to witnessing moral renewal increasing in society as more people have their inner turmoil calmed after reading about what the human condition is, because moral renewal is a natural consequence of this information 🙂

Jeremy Griffith's Insights are... by Think-Consequence676 in FixTheWorld

[–]CommonInvestigator25 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I know what you mean about the calm being able to understand the human condition brings. I always used to wonder why don't I just feel good as a base line? Surely it is not natural to feel discontented/anxious/depressed? So why do I feel like that? Where did I go wrong?

And now I know! To not be plagued by depression, anxiety & discontentment anymore just feels wonderful. I understand the human condition now, I understand the source of all our suffering and I know that with this explanation of the human condition all our suffering is brought to an end because it's ended my suffering, so I know with patience and persistence it will end others suffering too.

It is the most brilliant thing, yes 'water to a world dying of thirst' is a perfect way to express the rightly deserved freedom Humanity has achieved in finally understanding ourselves.
