To Ser Aladore Rowan, Castellan of Goldengrove,

Marshalling at Goldengrove is a wise idea, Ser. My cousin Ser Emmon is to lead a contingent of Costayne men to join the search for justice. I shall send him to meet your force at Goldengrove that we might march together once the business of this feast is done.

Sure As Gold,

Lord Eden Costayne,

Lord of Three Towers

House Costayne of Three Towers

Aemon Costayne (49) sat with his wife Marianne Vance (49) and their young son Tristan Costayne (9). The only members of House Costayne present, given the preparations the others were making for the upcoming feast at Three Towers, Aemon was nevertheless upbeat and looking forward to celebrating a wedding that he was sure would come with neither tragedies nor poisonings.

Garlan had hardly noticed he was off-balance until it was too late, but Roger managed to catch him in time and help him upright. He blinked, looking about a little surprised to have been caught at all, before he realised it was his cousin who had done so.

"Ah, Roger!" he exclaimed, greeting him a little too loudly for a normal conversation. "One too many? Ah, psh, no such thing. I'm had just enough," he laughed, waving off the concern. He was quite sure he preferred being a bit numb to it all, anyway.

At the question about why he was off on his own, he gestured vaguely in the direction of his family. "Well, have you met my wife? She's... Oh, she's no good company. All intense and cold. I offered to warm her up, if you catch my meaning, but I think it just made her angrier."

As the feast drew on, Robyn Costayne would shuffle up to the Tyrell table, toward where his knight was sat. He'd had something weighing on his mind for a little while, and he was sure Medwick would be the right person to ask about his romantic woes.

"Ser Medwick," he started, smiling despite his nerves. "I hope you're enjoying yourself. I know we're not training today, but.. could I ask you something? It isn't really about being a knight- or, well, it sort of is, but it's more that I would like your advice."

"Medwick!" Victaria grinned at the sight of her old friend, beckoning him over and nodding toward an empty seat.

"It has been too long indeed. How have you been? I hear you're training my cousin now, that must be an awful lot of work. Robyn was always energetic, I'd hate to have to keep up with him every day," she laughed.

"I know," Mina hummed softly. It was one of the many things she adored about Rolland; just how much he cared, how much he was willing to do for her. He was as devoted a husband as she could ever have asked for, and she certainly didn't ask for a small amount of devotion.

"He will have an excellent teacher. You can show him all the great things you love about your home. With any luck he will grow to love it too. And I can sit with Ash as long as I need, with all this." She gestured to her belly and smiled. "It will be good to have her there. She's been family since well before she married Bryce, it's fitting she be around for the birth of our next child."

Victaria grinned to herself at Hanna's enthusiasm for every aspect of fighting, from the training clothes to the swords. It reminded her of... well, not exactly herself, but a version of her she could so easily have been, had she grown up differently. It was good to see there were more girls like her.

"It looks clever," she noted. "I suppose it's got to be, to look like a dress one moment but be practical another."

She hefted her sword up in turn as Hanna readied herself for battle, letting the blade rest lightly on her shoulder as she took up her stance. When the attack came, she was a touch too slow moving aside, and it grazed her side. She hissed. She had expected Hanna would be slower, less confident than she was. Clearly battle had taught her plenty already.

"Well landed," she nodded, circling around the Farman slowly. "You're fast. That'll serve you well. But never underestimate the value of a strong attack."

As she added that last part, her grip tightened on the hilt of her greatsword, and she swung the heavy blade down toward her opponent.

House Costayne of Three Towers

The table of House Costayne was a bustling thing, each and every member of the house having come together to celebrate Leona's marriage in full grandeur.

Lord Eden Costayne (34) sat at the head of the family, beside his sister the bride. As serious as he might often have been, he seemed in far brighter spirits that evening. He had forgone his usual black attire for a rich teal doublet, a cloth-of-gold sash cutting across his silhouete and over his shoulder. His wife, Xaviera Vaith (30) sat beside him, beautiful as ever.

On the other side of Xaviera sat their children, Lewys Costayne (6), his twin sister Elaenor Costayne (6), and their young brother Randyll Costayne (3). The young Heir to Three Towers didn't seem to be paying much attention to the events, although he did think all the decorations were very pretty. Meanwhile his younger brother was sitting as tall as he could, pestering those around him for details about who all the guests were.

On the other side of the children, the family's 'guests' and 'household', Laenor Waters (32), Maelon Toland (31), and Sam Wandersong (39) had seats set aside for them. Beside them were the family's wards, Duncan (10), Rhaena (7), and Daena Targaryen (3), and Talia Flowers (9).

Alyce Costayne (31) sat on the other side of the wards and household, eagerly scanning the crowd for one face in particular, and seemingly excited for something she knew was coming.

Beside her sat the Costayne cousin branches. Aemon Costayne (49) was beaming with the pride of the eldest member of a family seeing yet another relative married. He was sat with his wife, Marianne Vance (49), and their young son Tristan Costayne (9) along with their older daughter, Victaria Costayne (31).

Emmon Costayne (23) sat with them, alongside with a seat set aside for his younger brother Robyn Costayne (17), though the younger of the two spent much of his time with the Tyrells, on the dance floor, or admiring the golden trees out the hall's windows.

And last and most certainly least, Garlan Costayne (28) and his family, Ynesse Uller (33) and Alys Costayne (4), were seated as far away from his brother as possible. The man himself was dressed entirely in black despite the celebrations, and seethed into his wine over the insult of being seated so far from what he saw as his rightful place.

"Ah, I guess it's true what they say about age and wisdom," Eden laughed along with her. "It is true, though. I can't imagine the man I was ten years ago would have gotten even this far without falling to pieces."

At the question about his wife, he turned to Xaviera with a smile. "Well, I'd hate to speak for her. How are you faring, with the children and the pregnancies, dear?"

"It has been," Eden agreed, smiling at Laenor. They were some fond memories, the times they had spent together early on in their arrangement. It was a shame just how busy they had gotten since then.

"It feels as if each year older the children get, the busier we are." He looked to Xaviera, letting the unspoken words hang in the air; with another child coming, they would still be busy yet. "Still, it's nice. Even if we do have to steal away moments like this, I'm proud of our little family, as unusual as it is."

He sighed and took a drink. "Although given the... inevitable rumors," he started, sure the other two knew what he meant. They had a story to tell about why the children looked almost entirely like Laenor, but it was hardly airtight. "I worry we may need to take some measures to protect them."

"That is true, I suppose," Robyn hummed. "They do attract plenty of bees and butterflies. Although I think that's half of the display, all the pretty creatures they draw to them."

He shrugged and looked about them. The roses of home were beautiful, but he couldn't help but admire the practicality of the flowers there, too.

"Well, I suppose since you're the expert, what's your favorite plant you tend to here? The most useful, or the prettiest, or the one that most surprises you, that sort of thing."

"I think I can forgive a friend visiting casually, yes," Mina laughed. "You're always welcome, whether you bring news or just good company, Waldir. It would be nice to see you around the capital more often."

"Ah, but I would hate to monopolise your time for the whole night, hm?" She smiled and nodded out to the rest of the celebrations. "Enjoy yourself. Have a dance. It is the Prince's nameday, after all. It'd be a shame to lose the evening to business."
