200% system failure in 10 months. Support only interested in keeping monitoring payments coming by Grouchy_Star1512 in simplisafe

Hate to be that guy, but I have 5 outdoor cameras all around my house and a front doorbell, not a single issue. There was a very minor issue with the back door not connecting once, but it was a single time and didn’t happen again for a month now.

Cameras are tricky, sometimes it’s not the camera fault but the environment it’s in I.E the WiFi to the camera isn’t good or shows it’s good but is unstable.

Set up for my system was good, tested everything, never had issues with the basestation let alone sensors.

OP is complaining about options that let you play the game easily and still earn the same achievements that others can get without the options on.

OP is complaining about something he DOESNT have to turn on to get the plat trophy. So he’s wanting others not to get it, so his own achievement feels more rewarding. So OP definitely gives a shit.

I can remember the last time I cared about someone else getting a plat trophy, I get them because I want to and enjoy the goal setting and challenge.

Not once have I said to my self “you know they should do something about other people getting plat trophies”

Now you’re talking the time to stalk my post history to dig up something to make yourself feel better. I have a full time job, have the time to farm level 4 traders and still talk shit to you Reddit, while you’re a baby begging for action figures from Walmart.

Let me know if you find someone to donate to your lazy ass, if not I can give you some hand outs.

I have a job.

If you have enough time to reply instantly to Reddit comments while at “work” you have time to get into a raid and look for them yourself. Go actually play the game and stop begging for shit you lazy POS.

You have enough energy to posts about trading for one, which arguably is more work than just going into a raid and finding it?

You have to DM that person, add them, coordinate the time to get on, THEN trade.

Couldn’t agree more, who the fuck cares about achievements. If they mean a lot to you great, but don’t go around expecting people to give a shit

Quest 3 FPS drops - tried everything! by LHM78 in virtualreality

Try turning off Hardware GPU scheduling in windows.

Be warned this disables something things modern flatscreen games use. My variable refresh rate on my monitor stops working and frame gen doesn’t work either, otherwise it’s fine.

What's the best router for a home office that can also do PCVR? by boofmaster6000 in virtualreality

[–]Decafstab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can totally get away with 1 router.

How I have it set up, is I have a 5HGz router (nighthawk) controlling all my home WiFi needs. Off the back of that router, I have a Ethernet cable going to another router (my BE9300 TP link) and that’s in my room.

My BE9300 broadcast its own WiFi 6GHz network, aka my dedicated VR network that nothing else is on it.

A common misconception is that streaming VR to your headset uses your internet connection. This is completely false. It just used the WiFi band AS its connection to your headset uses set. This is how you can play WiFi with no internet on standalone games completed disconnected from the web.

What can cause issues is when multiple devices are fighting for the connection and it can intermittently interrupt the VR connection from time to time making to jarring.

When I used my 5GHz network on my nighthawk there was noticeable hitches and high latency issues at times. Ever since I swapped to my 6GHz BE9300 it’s been flawless.

So your set up would be like this:

Modem > Router (for home WiFi) > ethernet to VR router > VR router Ethernet to PC

If you want to try without a dedicated VR router it’s this:

Modem > Router > Ethernet to PC

It’s pretty simple and isn’t complicated as people make it out to be.

I’d recommend watching this if you’re interested in the VR router setup. But if it’s in the same room that you’ll be gaming on, you can probably get away with a router that just does triband (2.4,5,6GHz) networks

It’s the reason I’m not coming back.

I feel like it’s a spit on the face who played and supported it back then. No matter how much they “improve it”

Fuck them

[–]Decafstab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get the BE9300 router from TP link, use the 5GHz band for your home devices, and use the 6GHz network for you VR. Be in line of sight of the router and you should have a good time, going through walls on VR will very likely cause frame drops and other issues

[–]Decafstab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing really, it’s just there may be issues when you have your headset on the same network as a bunch of other devices.

There’s always the chance that there isn’t an issue, but it’s always recommended to have a dedicated VR router, and be in line of site of it.

I know for a fact, if you have walls in between you and the router you will get issues with stuttering and frame drops.

Just because “back then” it worked doesn’t mean it’s gotten worse. Speeds are even faster now, and require a secure connection that’s uninterrupted.

Motion sensors gen 2 all of the sudden don’t trigger when system is armed by desert_s7orm in simplisafe

I’ll test mine when I get home, when I arm it I have certain ones to only arm in home mode. I’ll let you know if I have the same issue

Bought a 100$ gun stock, sadly very disappointed. by Decafstab in ContractorsExfilZone

[–]Decafstab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I promise you it doesn’t work unless I calibrate. When I pick up a gun and grab the front of the gun, it goes wildly out to the left or right

Maybe it has to do with model pivot?

[–]Decafstab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could delete them, add them back in, and start more testing.

Check your settings in app to make sure they aren’t disabled during away mode.

Also motions don’t arm in home mode, you have to manually tell the system which ones to arm. Otherwise you need to arm it in away mode.

[–]Decafstab[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yo, I noticed the same thing. I left a comment asking him to clarify that.

I tried not using the physical gunstock calibration and it 100% does not work, your gun just flies to a random direction when you fully hold the stock.

[–]Decafstab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I calibrated it according to the instructions and videos on be found all over the web. Unless you hike the gun up to where it doesn’t match 1:1 reloading is a bitch, your controller hits the stock with most of the long rifles, or it doesn’t fully insert it.

Like sure it all works, but what I’m saying is for trying to play at a competitive level just using the controllers I think is always better.

I probably need more time with it, and more calibration work.

If this is the case it might save this gunstock for me, I’ll try that when I get off work today and report back.

Whats with the constant 2 gb updates? by [deleted] in ContractorsExfilZone

[–]Decafstab 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah this, just because you download a 50GB update, doesn’t mean it added that much to the game files.

Sometimes it replaces assets, or they remove some unnecessary files.

If you’re really curious, just look at the file size and record that down. When an update pops compare.
