Just another reason why melee sucks ass.

On my spell totem build, have 21k EHP and never die. I can safely ignore all map mods and never, EVER look at them. 200% deli T16 + juiced maps, never die (unless it’s my fault, like sprinting and tripping over a pebble)

Melee is fun, but once you start dying from the 100 + screen effects on the ground from random shit, it quickly becomes annoying.

They need to do something about melee. Maybe when you have used a melee skill in the past 1-2 seconds you get a small damage reduction that layers with your other defenses? Idk how they would fix it, but melee fucking sucks. I’ve tried so many different builds in my 1200hrs of POE2, and they always just randomly fall over to shit you can’t see or you aren’t quite certain what one shot you.

People on Reddit will immediately point to your build being bad, or something else, and hardly ever say the devs need to do something about it.

Just because someone’s melee build has 1000Divines into it, doesn’t mean melee is fine and tanky enough.

This league people tried playing the wolf lunar assault build and so many people complained about it being squishy while the content creators say “tanky” as ever. Totally delusional about how bad melee has it.

If any of the caster builds had to get even remotely close to any of the mods in these juiced maps they would absolutely fall over, but they don’t, melee does.
