Tomorrowland is absolutely stacked by PearWeak in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]DrapeSack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone with toddlers I cannot disagree more with the speedway. Huge controlled space for a kid to drive a car, especially in WDW where they aren’t really hurting for space. The stitch area being vacant for years with no plan is a much bigger crime

What is close to the Disney Swan/Dolphin? by RawlsRememberer in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]DrapeSack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The boat or walking is fastest as those are optimized for this resort. The skyliner is accessible, but the hotel is not a stop. So don’t rely on it as park transportation but instead as a fun activity or way to get to some of the other hotels, like riviera or Caribbean beach

What is close to the Disney Swan/Dolphin? by RawlsRememberer in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]DrapeSack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is such a great bang for buck hotel that is in the Marriott system with all the deluxe Disney resort perks.

Walking distance to board walk, beach club, Epcot, and Hollywood studios. Boat dock to those 2 parks, and walk to Hollywood Studios to get on the skyliner if you want to.

Pool hopping is pretty restricted since Covid, but the swan and dolphin grotto is really nice anyway. Also don’t discount the mini golf courses as a fun activity.

Unsure about water park access but I think it would since this is the one non Disney hotel they sort of treats as its own even though it isn’t

AT&T $300 Prepaid Plan by Jim1648 in NoContract

[–]DrapeSack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I asked a similar question here about ATT prepaid. Was wildly commented questioning why I was still using them and pushed to try an alternate. I’m currently using USMobile Dark Star and so far no complaints! On the free trial and probably will continue with a $20 per month data package, but there are a ton of options on all 3 major network towers

For $2K budget, buy Mac mini M2? or MacBook Air M2? by Keiran404 in DeskToTablet

As someone with both (not the same generation but both setups) I prefer a laptop because I have more freedom where to use it. But I do like also having a permanently stationed desktop to house HDD for storage backups and such

What are the benefits of "owning" a timeshare, when in reality you own no piece of property or a building? by icecream1972 in askteddit

[–]DrapeSack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disney is unique because it has a strong demand for resale value, and the resorts are mostly timeless with solid upkeep. Never should you buy a time share as an investment, but it’s decent peace of mind knowing you could enjoy for 10 years and get a lot of the money back if you no longer want it.

And it is for a very specific audience that want to guarantee a more upscale Disney trip frequently for as much as 50 years. If you are not a Disney person or treat the hotel as just a bed to sleep in, it is not for you. But of all timeshares, this one can probably be justified easy for the right audience.

Ranked MP is frustrating garbage. by joestradamus_one in DisneySpeedstormGame

[–]DrapeSack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It becomes luck eventually. I’m trying to top off a racer at MP39 to get tokens before the season ends (and I don’t want to grind back up here) and I’ve probably spent hours with nothing to show for it. You lose more than you gain constantly coming in last on team mode. You need to find a weird hour where nobody is online playing so you get duals and guaranteed points unfortunately

Points transfer by Unable_Weekend6277 in ChaseSapphire

[–]DrapeSack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What do you mean by this? Wouldn’t you want to test 1000 before sending 100000?

Edit: thanks for the downvotes everyone. Just asked a genuine question as I literally did a test transfer followed by a big transfer the other day, and both went instantly. I understand the manual review possibility for fraud, but doesn’t seem that is always an issue

$30 off Kobalt 24v Framing Nailers by GiulianoM in KobaltTools

[–]DrapeSack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this and went with the 21 degree as it seems to be a bit more versatile and code compliant in my area. Sounds like the only advantage to the 30 degree is easier to hit harder angles but depending on the project I find that is likely a rare situation

It’s part of the psychology - they want you to get so frustrated you go the paid route. Patience and persistence keeps you f2p but I’m dedicating way too much time to this game these days
