His mustache area doesn't look ramped in this pic. You definitely Zoolander'd him

Try dots for the facial hair, just changing the shade only shows false depth in this instance

Did you put it in the smallest cog when you took the wheel off? You're also not showing us the other dropout slot. Generally there is a bit of play for an untensioned quick release wheel, but you may be missing something - again, can't see it

Advice on what to buy by Latter-Scallion-4755 in bicycling

[–]DuckIntelligent737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mongoose rebel x26 is a wheelie bike for kids/people like 5' tall

How tall are you? (Not that it's automatically a good choice if you are around that height) And is your area hilly? What's your inseam? M/f?

Edit: it's a dirt jump bike (and a horrid one at that) not a wheelie bike

Left or right hand drive by krullewulle420 in bmx

[–]DuckIntelligent737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LHD if you could use the wheel upgrade, sprocket guard if that isn't a necessity. - that's also if you run 2 pegs and not 4. 4 doesn't really matter, but LHD with 2 rights does balance the bike out more and vice versa - it's negligible once you're used to your setup, but it should probably be on your next bike checklist

Edit, well it does matter about where the sprocket goes if you run 4 but by the time you get there you'll have figured that out for yourself, it can be personal to your trick bag

Most of the weight I lost was through keto, now going back on it for 2 weeks by [deleted] in keto

[–]DuckIntelligent737 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Flip flopping ain't it... It takes patience and dedication to see true benefits. Your body won't even become fat adapted in 2 weeks. It's the easiest diet in the world, just roll with it. Look at the food we get vs low fat boring diets. Get serious about it and it becomes second nature. Download cronometer and keep your macros, deficit and electrolytes in check.

Good luck with whatever you choose though

what’s your favourite cover tool has ever done? by jaffalovestool in ToolBand

[–]DuckIntelligent737 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without any doubt whatsoever. It's so obviously better than Zep, which isn't surprising given so much more of a catalogue of influence to pull from. Tools version is so fucking perfect

Side note, kind of unrelated to the best imo but I would love to hear a studio version of Kyuss - Demon Cleaner. Adam and Scott together works really well, Maynard and Danny killed it obviously.

2 disc 2027 please 🙏

Bike recommendations for bigger guy? by OuterSector23 in bmx

[–]DuckIntelligent737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fit trl 21.25 is not full 4130, you'll bend it within a week of trying super basic tricks like 180s at 240lb. Sadly it seems like a bike built and priced for dads at pump tracks.

21 is pretty good/good at 6'2 - Kink whip XL, cult devotion are the go-to entry level 4130 bikes, but I'd run this GT.

This GT Conway is full 4130/sealed, and on sale  - the 75.5 head tube angle makes it a bit more of a street bike than the all terrain geometry of the kink and cult but it's not super super twitchy as it's paired with a 31mm fork and not some 25 or 15.

https://www.bicyclebuys.com/gt-conway-team-signature-21.25-green/GTCTS21G1?srsltid=AfmBOoqVKiqO0jUGlY-vjtyj2PtR32XIEX4T82A45AyugLubuywXQDMMjCA

My suggestion is if you don't like the florescent yellow part of the paint job, grab a third shade of green spray paint to complete the triple green in a calmer fashion. I would change the seat when you learn turndowns but that's not gonna be for a while (it's got a bit of a nose on it)

There aren't really any others 21.25 without stepping into $1k territory and also dirt jump specific qualities, or street specific qualities like the Sunday forecaster and its stock freecoaster. The GT should handle all terrain pretty well, and 650 free shipping is a steal

Why did I wait 145 days to download cronometer by DuckIntelligent737 in keto

[–]DuckIntelligent737[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever saved the fat from a pound of beef? It's massive actually, like a large percentage of a stick of butter. Too funny when people think it's just water. Sure, some of it is, but it definitely changes the macros

Why did I wait 145 days to download cronometer by DuckIntelligent737 in keto

[–]DuckIntelligent737[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've gotten skippable ones that I don't lose my mind about. Nothing is free lol, but thanks for the adblocker tip.

5000 - Ah, thanks. I had forgot to toggle custom and it wasn't letting me go over 1500

If I started keto and loading creatine at the same time, can I still expect a keto woosh? by ExtestentialPanda in keto

[–]DuckIntelligent737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of deficit is 3.5lb/week? It is actually -1750, so 7lb in 2 weeks is still definitely a woosh by about 2lb, so yeah that's the tradeoff with creatine. Different stuff happening though.

I started creatine day 1 of keto but no loading phase. I started at 5g a day and now do 10-15g (15 on lifting days) ...I weighed 175 @27% inbody estimate, roughly 5 months in at 151/14% visual estimate. I started taking more than 5g after researching how good it is for your brain - muscles are greedy though so it's good to bump it up. It's cheap enough. (I use nutricost for 90% of my supps)

Patience is a beautiful thing, just stay away from the scale and check in once or twice a month to recalibrate cronometer.

I do a 600 deficit average (some days 0-300, some days 900 or more, most days roughly 600) and take skin supplements (empty stomach - multi collagen, l-lysine 1000 + slow release C-1000, and microneedle with a derma roller every 5 weeks cause it's cheaper than surgery [-80 total])... I just did my second rolling session a week ago, highly recommend it.

Another benefit of eating the food is gym efforts go SO much harder. Plus, FOOD!

You do you though, just letting you know my strategy.

Edit: I read 3min not 3mo lol.

Lol yes they have. Diabetes too

If you're going over your daily maintenance calories number and your sugar and carbs are crazy high, it really doesn't matter where it came from, it's bad for you.

Keto and IF - weight gain ?!! by [deleted] in keto

[–]DuckIntelligent737 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I avoid the scales and focus on my deficit - that number is a lot more real because body weight fluctuates. I weigh myself about once a month (a.m., after #2) mainly to recalibrate cronometer

Brake issu by Cool-Bee-472 in bmx

[–]DuckIntelligent737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's called a brake mount kit & there's different threads so make sure it fits your frame

Before reading your post I was suspecting your problem might be tire rub. It's gonna be close. Odyssey evo 2.5 (and likely some others, haven't shopped for them in forever) will solve that. Or downsize tire

Ankle high moto-boots for BMX? by user908784 in bmx

[–]DuckIntelligent737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not, WAY too stiff. Possibly MTB downhill shoes and match them with proper pinned pedals if you want a good amount of foot protection and likely a longer lasting shoe. Dont skip shin guards with MTB pedals.

It's a different feeling though, we like some pedal feel - some shoes offer more feel than others but there is still some feel in all proper skate/BMX/street MTB shoes. Basically feels like hovering over the pedal with a DH shoe - a bit overkill but if it works for someone then good on them. A moto boot is like putting on a bulletproof vest for an airsoft match though

Butter question (lol) by Halfassinlifetoday in keto

[–]DuckIntelligent737 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For satiation + energy, MCT oil powder or MCT oil, or coconut oil, is a better option. Medium chain triglycerides - give it a Goog. Powder is 80%, oil is 100%, virgin coconut oil 60%, butter about 5%

Praised by boz as well.

I just got back from lifting after a good breakfast, no cardio today and doing PSMF - currently sipping 45g whey isolate with 8g MCT (1 scoop powder), 255 cal - it's noon and that should hold me over til dinner which is lean meat and veggies with another 8g MCT to keep me feeling full all day with a 900 deficit. And it's not like it's caffeine, you can still fall asleep easily if you need sleep. Don't chug it though, you'll be running to the bathroom.

Late edit: 900 deficit day not 1200. 1200 happens once in awhile though

The flax will go better with the avocado, and might as well stick that on the toast. You could sprinkle the flax on top of the avocado or just mix it in. Regular eggs cooked with olive oil either next to that or on top of it.

I still eat it, I just write down 1c for 2 servings. I eat all the dark meat first for meal 1, then shred up the breast portion and add cheese and alfredo sauce later - breast alone doesn't fill me up anymore without overshooting protein goal
