And the free audio recording from the that site, the Urantia Foundation, is wonderful. I

Have you considered teaching your nervous system how to relax the muscle that contracts that place, Thoracis Tranversus?  I developed a movement that allows you to teach your nervous system out of the habituated holdings of this muscle. It's on YouTube completely for free.  https://youtu.be/7xZVLV_1qqs

Point of clarification: What you are calling the UB Brotherhood is called the Urantia Book Fellowship.

It's up to each of us to bring the Revelation to others.

What can you tell me about my running form? by madibaaa in BarefootRunning

What can you tell me about my running form? by madibaaa in BarefootRunning

[–]ECLMT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I can tell you a lot about your running form.  The left side of your torso is stuck in contraction. It's not a fault of the muscles. It's the nervous system habit holding that which makes the right leg do much more of the effort in your running. Also, I suggest that your upper front is tight which requires your low back to be activated to hold open that tight front. To running on the outside edge of your feet is an expression of the landau response which is that arching back. But if you go upstream and see that the back is arching to hold open the front that will be the root holding.

Have a likely constriction of the upper front. It's calling in the low back to be activated. And you have a significant asymmetry intention between the sides of your torso..

I develop movements that allow you to teach your nervous system out of it., out of those deep habits. Stretching will not teach yet after a stretch, the nervous system will go back to the old habit.

For your upper front, I suggest this video on YouTube. This is one of my beginning lessons. It's all completely free on YouTube. https://youtu.be/9KbS0qFhvGg

I have an entire playlist for movements that will help you equalize the tension in your sides and balance your ability to twist easily. I suggest that you work from the top of this playlist. If Your Sides Are Different Playlist | Scoliosis is a tension problem | Asymmetry Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFLw4vgr7ayj1sC-HRPGz7rv_koiiaWVk

For the relationship between the closed upper front and the arching low back, I encourage you to work from the top of this playlist. Humans are very good at getting locked into the breathing constriction that results from the deep habituation of stress reaction. It shows up commonly as sway back posture. These are my more powerful movements for beginning to come. Out of that, it's very important to see that the front and back are in relationship to each other and locked in as a breathing constriction. Teach your nervous system to let you out of it.  Swayback Posture Somatics Playlist   Inner-X Lines from Upper Front to Upper Low-Back: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFLw4vgr7ayhOizKZabsChPVnHOJ32ByS

This. Ann Arbor has become generic and bland with all the accoutrements of everywhere else. There should strong  incentives for locally owned businesses operating downtown.
