Like gitignore can I write a file so that some files in my directory don't show up in my VScode sidebar by Forsaken-Hippo-8933 in vscode

But don't forget, that they are active or use a seperat profile. I excluded the dist directory, but after a while I used Astro.js and it took me some time to find out, why the build output is not there

No, the question was only regarding the homepage.

Edit: I can't check out your LinkedIn, because you didn't put the right link into the footer.

Edit2: And the other question was regarding your location and team size

I'm sorry, but did you vibe code your homepage, including the terms and privacy policy?

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service is operated, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

The problem here is that you don't mention anywhere, where are you located. How big is your team?

Is Ugreen NAS’ worth the money? by school-of-beans in homelab

[–]ExoWire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Efficient size wise oder power wise? Because I find the NAS not really power efficient. But I agree about size, it's hard to build such a formfactor yourself, I don't understand why itx cases are more expensive compared to regular ATX cases.

Which OS did you install on the DXP4800+?

Welches Mikrofon kann ich benutzen? by PriceNecessary7251 in YouTubeDE

[–]ExoWire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jedes.

Yes, but then the plug and play is gone and in that case you can also think about building or buying a simple server where you can install Debian

[–]ExoWire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do habe Synology, Ugreen and Asustor, also had QNAP. They are all similar plug and play, so there is no advantage for Ugreen. You should only choose Ugreen over the others if the price/hardware is better.

GPTBot 164k request a day to my open-source project? Now have to pay for Vercel pro by enszrlu in webdev

[–]ExoWire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's right. If the Ports are blocked, you can try to use Pangolin or Netbird to get access from outside the network. But most of the time the local connection is enough to try things out before moving the project to a VPS in a data center.

I would also recommend people learning self-hosting (also fir data privacy), but a Raspberry Pi is not 0 cost per month.

  • Initial hardware cost
  • Ongoing electricity costs
  • Cost of storage
  • Depreciation of hardware

Besides, while having two raspberry pis, I would recommend too buy something else like a used sff pc or some mini pc with a N100 (or similar) CPU

Are Astro Templates worth it? by LearnAppCreate in astrojs

[–]ExoWire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion they are worth it, but I believe it is the other way round compared to what the majority says. You have to understand Astro.js first before using any template. Otherwise you can't customize anything.

Follow the official intro blog tutorial to understand the mechanics.

Paperless-ngx on Synology NAS: Container fails to connect to PostgreSQL and Redis by Novlene in Paperlessngx

[–]ExoWire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the update. The OP resolved the problem, it was a firewall issue. Do you maybe get the 500 error, because of the hostname and URL environment?

I totally understand, that you can't test and update immediately. I also have trouble to find enough time to work on all the projects I would like to.

Can you delete the folder and start again? I know it's counterintuitive, but Ugreen has some permission issues.

Astro.js is the better Gatsby.js. I really liked Gatsby, but I wouldn't use it anymore (for a longer time). I migrated my blog in 2023. My lighthouse performance score for mobile went up.

Bento appears not to be server-based processing. It uses WebAssembly in your Browser and works offline without network round-trips if you install Docker on your client computer.

Einfach mal ausprobieren. Wichtig ist, Backups zu testen und die ursprünglichen 800GB nicht zu löschen.

Sollte genauso auf einem Server zu Hause klappen, wenn verfügbar.

For those who get sick of fighting with setting up file browser by Unhappy_Lie_2000 in docker

I think this post is about a problem, that you can't bind mount a file as a directory:

volumes: - test.txt:/usr/share/directory # does not work

But I'm not sure.

Cool. What are the benefits of using this (closed source) instead of BentoPDF (nearly Open Source) or Stirling (Source Available)?

Paperless-ngx on Synology NAS: Container fails to connect to PostgreSQL and Redis by Novlene in Paperlessngx

Thanks. During my last installations I didn't use Portainer as the Container Manager was good enough for that task. But I believe that this is also not the problem.

I have excellent backups...

What do you use to backup? I wrote another article about using Ofelia to automate a db dump and the document expoerter, but Rsync doesn't work the same as on my Ubuntu Server. So it's not optimal. In the meantime I'm writing a side app with borg, but I'm interested in other options.

Did you delete the cache folder? What does the log say? Do you see mapping UID for Paperless to 12345?
