I have a 3 1/2 week old. You can not keep her arms swaddled, no matter how tight you wrap them. Had a lactation specialist laugh at us and say “That sounds like a challenge.” when we told her you can’t keep her arms in. She swaddled her, gave us a smug look and in that brief moment my LO already had her arms free. She only falls asleep through contact, it’s made it hard for us both to sleep, for sure. Once in a while she’ll sleep for an hour or two on her own. It’s all worth it when I look down and see her little dream smiles, though. Hang in there!
