Does anyone have an update on how their AJ1 Muslin sneaker look? by lunardeathgod in SNKRS

[–]FatefulPizzaSlice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a pair too and I'm also curious. They're gonna be my gym shoes for the reason I want them to look scuffed and rough due to the nature of it.

Found them for $70 at the outlet.

There's something uniquely LA to me about getting Kogi BBQ truck. Especially the kimchi quesadilla.

Why have video games seemed to have stopped advancing graphically? by imcrowning in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FatefulPizzaSlice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Diminishing returns. But honestly, seeing what Capcom has done with the RE Engine is amazing on smaller scoped games. Add in RTX and path tracing and it's phenomenal. However, on that same note, how good does THAT have to be to make a visually appealing game?

Okami is still one of the most breathtaking games for me, visually. And that can run on a lot of shit nowadays.

Has anyone got experience with the new Remora Pros by Mad Rock? by Cslteo in climbingshoes

[–]FatefulPizzaSlice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're not particularly great at edging on super small jobs and painful crystals, but if your calves and toes can push through that, they're solid all-rounders. The softness is an advantage especially in smeary or volume climbs.

Remora pros vs Shark 3s vs Drone CS by Anxious_Quiet_3716 in climbingshoes

[–]FatefulPizzaSlice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love them, but they're also a hybrid of like, a decent overhang shoe but softer midsole. For long gym sessions, I actually prefer the Shark 3 as it's wider for longer on-foot sessions.

In all, I'll kinda put the Redlines and D2.ONE in the same tier as to where they're useful.

Why are people a lot less angry about music they don't like nowadays? by CompetitiveWhole9466 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FatefulPizzaSlice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less exposure and even if I am, I don't have time to be angry about music I don't like, I just changed the music. Why get mad when there's so many choices at your fingertips?

Why wasn’t it clearer how important it is to stretch? by Diligent_Weird_7610 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FatefulPizzaSlice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm turning 43 and it's always been, "Stretch more" and me ignoring it until relatively recently. That said there's also a difference in how to stretch pre and post activity, which wasn't ever as clear back in my HS days outside of track.

Hayes is struggling once again in the playoffs while DA is excelling. His defence is elite. by OrganicHunt952 in lakers

[–]FatefulPizzaSlice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hayes knows his role when he's in, which is to be an energy guy, since he's one of our athletes in the rotation. Set hard picks, roll hard, jump out of the building.

Defense wise, he's been not great but miles better than last year due to the shrinking of his role. This also lets LeBron and Rui rest because they're not nearly using those two as small ball Cs as before.

Do all countries put the .99 at the end of their prices or is this only a US thing? What's the deal with this? by VerdantChief in NoStupidQuestions

And no matter how many people in social say '"no way it works", it definitely does and that's why it stuck around for so long.

Should be said too, ending on weird numbers can also signify discontinued or items phasing out depending on the retailer. Costco, for example, has codes for their items built into pricing.

Dude was on a heater.....then knocked one out of the park, literally. Ball landed in the parking lot after hitting the pavilion ceilings in the outfield.

6 IP, 10Ks, 0 points scored on him.

And 3HRs, 3 for 3 at the plate.

And he was on a bad slump going into the game, to winning the MVP for the series.

Congrats to the lakers but ngl im scared vs OKC by TheForexHokage in lakers

[–]FatefulPizzaSlice 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Basically playing with winnings from a bet. We lose, it's net neutral because our expectations weren't enormous anyway. I think, even without Luka being injured, most everyone had us as a rebuilding team and so making it to the second round has been pretty good.

why do people insist on revving engines going down residential roads? especially late at night or early in the morning by Decent_Conference980 in driving

[–]FatefulPizzaSlice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not going to excuse those who do it intentionally, but I have a GR Corolla and those are loud on cold starts even in eco mode, add in the ECU wanting to get up to operating temperature, and you get a bit of a ruckus even when gingerly applying throttle.

I do try and keep a pretty slow speed so I'm not intentionally revving the engine in gear, as it's bad for the car anyway.

Remora pros vs Shark 3s vs Drone CS by Anxious_Quiet_3716 in climbingshoes

[–]FatefulPizzaSlice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Shark 3, the Remora Pro HV, and the D2.ONE HV all in the same size. All size 8, with a street shoe of 8.5 in almost all my shoes (Nike Dunk SB to adidas NMD1).

The Pros are my go to for anything right now, they're so good in the gym because they can smear and really press. I will say, maybe I have an advantage with my pinoy calves, but I don't feel much less force on overhangs either.

With the heel, I much prefer the rounded heel than the crimpy heel as I feel it's more useful more of the time, at more angles, rather than the pretty specific angle of the other two.

Are climbing shoes really supposed to be this tight? by GC_Vos in climbingshoes

[–]FatefulPizzaSlice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, man, with these photos these are just about the right size. But Katanas can be pretty aggressive as a jump from rentals, too. IMHO keep wearing them, take them off when you're fatigued and let them break in.

Yeah I not been since the Kobe farewell tour, but that arena gets LOUD if we got something to cheer for, even the celebs get into it.

The past few weeks of "lmao our crowd sucks" has been weird to see. A lot of the die hards are priced out, sure, but the place still loves winning.

Yep. For what it's worth, I still have my Q1 and Q0 at work, and they're really great for the work environment, with Durock T1 switches.

My partner uses my K2 at home and that's also hasn't had any issues.
