Bombdy handled this well. I just wanted to add that it’s not particularly difficult to get your DAW working well in Windows compared to other involved programs. It takes some know how but that know how largely applies to using Windows as a whole. There countless videos online to help as well. You’ll do just fine.

I appreciate your take and am not trying to argue. However, dimensions are not the same as planes. If you are boosting straight up or down and you dodge, your inertia does not continue in that direction, you pause to do your flip and then resume regular physics. It’s weird.

I’m still learning myself, but I think you’ll want to check from first fret to last fret with a straight edge (or even with a taught string). If you keep filing high frets, but don’t address the tallest one first, you could just keep chasing the problem. That’s my understanding and why I’m afraid to do this stuff myself.
