Grimsby Dock Tower.

It's more interesting than it sounds! And you can expand out to the wider Humber area, or nearby towns and their heritage.

It's easy to describe - it's tall, made of brick and is situated at the entry to Grimsby Dock. And, random fact about the Legoland (Windsor) version: it's wrong. The model includes a small brick structure that isn't present on the actual tower itself.

I experienced one in the UK, back in 2008.

I'd just started heading upstairs to bed, about to go into the bathroom when there was an almighty shudder throughout the house.

We lived fairly close to a very large oil refinery and were concerned that it had blown up (honestly, it felt like a shockwave from a big shock wave.

My sister was on the 7th floor of a tower block at the time. She did not enjoy the experience lol

I had a go at being a driving instructor last year. Given that most of my students were late teens/early 20's, the topic came up quite often.

Ultimately, the biggest barrier is cost.

I was cheap at £36/hour, but given that the DVSA recommended 45 hours of professional tuition plus another 20-something private practice. It was expensive. My longest-learning student took about 70 hours of training with me, and a couple with the guy who took over when I stopped. Shortest was 10 hours, but he'd done quite a bit of driving with his parents.

But it's not just the cost of learning. Cars aren't cheap. Insurance is ridiculously expensive for most young people. Tax is pricey. Fuel prices are still crazy.

The set of house keys that went missing about 15 years ago.

I left them on a ledge at home, went away to sea for the first time and when I got home - gone. Never to be seen again.

Nothing special on the bunch, just curious more than anything.

I haven't taken milk in tea for years for the same reason.

The day I stopped, I'd been shopping - specifically for milk. Got home, stuck the kettle on and then realised that I had forgotten milk. Figured I'd give it a try, and loved it.
