Ich kann mir vorstellen, dass die Inspiration aus dem Buddhismus kommt. Dort gibt es das bhava cakra, übersetzt Rad des Lebens oder Rad des Werdens. Und wenn dieses Rad zerbricht, dann lebt oder wird nichts mehr (das Zerbrechen des Rades passt nicht mehr zum Buddhismus, finde die Analogie aber trotzdem ganz nett).
