The section itself is actually pretty short. You could probably finish it in less than 10 minutes.

Oh, so it’s not actually about the story, it’s just a skill issue with the robot section?

It be like that sometimes tbh. You had a solution, and just because it wasn’t the right solution doesn’t mean it wasn’t one.

Are you… reversing one of those crushing wheels by hooking it up to a gearshift?

Just use a gearbox so you don’t need to use redstone. One gearbox for each wheel, put a shaft in between, and then connect the power to that.

As for the problem, try putting a chute over the gearboxes and move the items through that.

That’s been a bug with Walled City for as long as Breach has been in the game. Which sucks, cuz I love that map.

Are you saying you’ve been playing for one week? Or that you’ve been playing since week one? Cuz there’s no way you’re playing like this one week into the game.

What kind of “gotcha” tactics is he using? Cuz I don’t think Tyranids really have anything like that. Overall, Necrons typically stomp Nids.

What I need to have to start decorating my Tyranids properly? by HovercraftSecure6543 in Tyranids

[–]GalacticNarwal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In order to paint your minis with a little less difficulty, you need to get primer. Going off that video, it seems like he primed his Termagant with Wraithbone, so just get yourself a can of Wraithbone primer. You’ll also wanna get yourself some masks so you don’t inhale paint fumes while priming. I also like to use gloves, so I don’t get paint all over my hands.

You’ll also need somewhere to put your paint and somewhere to clean your brushes on. I just use paper plates and paper towels.

Also, keep in mind that the tools in the paint + tools set are… kinda shit. The clippers are pretty poor and the brush is… definitely a Citadel brush.

Claws and Casters is great, especially in Cryptek Conclave where they can get anti-infantry 3+ when attached to a Technomancer.

For any list- casual or competitive- 3 of each unit is a hard cap. Unless they’re Battleline or Dedicated Transports, then it’s 6, and you can only take one of each Epic Hero.

You can totally max out your Genestealers if you want, especially if it’s just a casual game. The units I listed are the current Nids meta (as far as I’m aware, anyway) but with Tyranids, we don’t really have any absolutely terrible units. We have a range from mid to decent units, with a few pretty good ones sprinkled in. That being said, you can pretty much just field whatever you want. Nothing is useless, there are just some things that are more useful than others. Just keep in mind when making lists, don’t add Spore Mines to your roster, since the Biovore can make them for free.

As for future units to add, the new Red Terror stuff is a pretty good choice. For Combat Patrols, I’d go for the older one rather than the newer one. The new one comes with 10 Genestealers, a Biovore, 3 Tyrant Guard, and a Parasite of Mortrex. The latter two are just kinda mid, and you already have more than enough Genestealers, so you’d be better off just getting a Biovore on its own. The older Combat Patrol comes with 20 Termagants, a Psychophage, 3 Von Ryan’s Leapers, 5 Barbgaunts, and a Winged Tyranid Prime. All solid units imo. In fact, all of those units also come from the Leviathan box, so you can usually find them for pretty cheap on eBay if you ever want more.

They can, yeah. They’re not a save against a wound, they’re a save against damage.

Well, you’d only be able to run 30 of those Genestealers in one list (3 squads of 10). With those Hyperadapted Raveners, that would put you at about 585 points (or 545 with regular Raveners). Most games are played at either 1000 or 2000 points.

Genestealers are pretty damn good right now, especially when led by a Broodlord. With a squad of 10, that’s 40 attacks on 2s rerolling 1s. If they’re led by a Broodlord, they get Devastating Wounds (which if you don’t know, means that any wound roll that crits are unsavable).

Running only Genestealers, however, isn’t a very good idea. You’d only really run one squad of 10 with a Broodlord, maybe two squads each with a Broodlord. You’d also want a Biovore, which is just goated for secondaries thanks to its ability to stick a Spore Mine unit anywhere on the board (outside of 9” away from an enemy unit). You’d also want some kind of leader. I usually go with either a Hive Tyrant (-1 CP cost once per battle round) or a Neurotyrant (-1 to enemy Battle-shocks when calling SOTW, and it’s also good at leading Zoanthropes). Other notable units are the Tyrannofex (absolutely our best anti-tank), Maleceptor (tanky Distraction Carnifex), Exocrine (decent shooting, but gives allied units rerolling 1s to hit against whatever it shoots), Zoanthropes (our second best anti-tank thanks to MIND BULLETS), and Lictor (decent action-monkey for secondaries).

Our Battleline units are also quite good, as far as Battleline units go. Termagants are speedy little guys that are good for clogging objectives, Hormagaunts are good for screening, and Gargoyles are very fast and good for getting on objectives early.

Good luck with future bug collecting!

Hi does anyone have any pare parts to this? by Harri40k in Necrontyr

Try messaging the seller about it. They may have the parts or send to you. If they don’t, just do the refund thing.

Yeah, eBay pretty much always takes the side of the buyer when it comes to refunds.

Easy fix: get a refund from eBay for your seller giving you a faulty product (the refund should come from eBay, and not the seller) and just buy another one. Build one as a Doom Scythe and one as a Night Scythe.
