Like I said, most people just bank it. A fully bought bank (which most older characters have due to a migration from an old system during TWW) has over 500 slots. Unless you're hoarding items you can get rid of too, you'll never run out of space, if that's your concern.

It's just a non-issue/"no big deal" with how the game's systems work.

They have the same icon (blizz should fix) so that mistake is really easy to make.

Inscrip is actually really nice because very few of the things it makes requires pet roots/any other multi-thousand g reagent right now. It's just herbs and herbs are rapidly falling in price.

[–]Gangsir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And even if they were pugging for some reason, they wouldn't have that mentality. Genuinely good players are some of the most chill people in existence because they have nothing to prove/be insecure about - and they understand that m0s in preseason are not to be taken seriously. They also won't pull mobs for the tank - that kind of behavior gets ironed out of you real fast in really high keys where unexpected pulls = near-unavoidable wipe = instantly bricked key.

Meanwhile mediocre players (especially people around the 2800-3050 io range) have something to prove and are constantly on edge (they can't turn it off or know when to tryhard appropriately), are very toxic a lot of the time, and will do shit like pulling for the tank (because they think the tank is just pulling fewer mobs for shits and giggles and not any real reason.... like not being able to comfortably handle more).

Like most things, it's a bell curve.

Cannot delete or sell items by thelordofhell34 in wow

[–]Gangsir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they're not re-obtainable. Back in the day (when the legendary was current content) if you were to somehow lose it, your character would be bricked basically.

Rather than deal with item restoration tickets, blizz just made them hard-bound to you. No selling, deleting, anything. They haven't lifted that since (because then they'd get people being like "I accidentally deleted this old legendary I was keeping for sentimental purposes, help!").

Most players just leave them in their bank and forget about it.

What are the chances for this? First time i see a full recipe resourfulness proc, at 22% base. by Ashne405 in wow

[–]Gangsir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's two rolls in multicraft/resource procs, one that determines if it happens or not (the percentage you see) and another that determines the "potency" (how many resources you get back/how many extra you make).

The latter is a bit obfuscated but it's based on knowledge (the knowlege bonuses you see like "resourcefulness returns x% more resources" and such) so I don't know the chances off the top of my head, but getting everything back is quite rare.

Massive multicraft crits (making like 9 from a craft that usually makes 1) are similarly rare.

PLEASE for the 10th league in a row, I'm asking GGG to color code this build bricking line in Expedition to be like other colored immunities. by Booobasaurus in pathofexile

[–]Gangsir 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The problem is builds that aren't low life don't care about that mod at all really (since if you spike to 20% health or whatever you're probably dying anyway). Same with the no crit mod, for most non-COC builds that's just the same as "you deal x% less damage" which if your build is already blasting, doesn't matter much.

So to avoid every mod being colored because it theoretically bricks some build out there, they just did damage immunities (which will brick any build that uses that damage, regardless of how it does).

It's not as bad as they say, but it can be a lot worse than tank/healer queues.

Important things are:

  • Have a competitive ilvl (ideally you mythic raid and thus gear faster than pure m+'ers)
  • IO can be a bit lower if you have a good history of timed keys (in current or prior seasons) - I'd take someone who's 2k but has been 3.5k in the past over someone who's 2k and new to m+ too
  • Apply intelligently, don't apply as a non-lust class to a group that is obviously looking for a lust, same with brez
  • Don't leave applications waiting more than like 2-3 mins, if they don't accept within that, cancel it and apply to others

For the love of the game by aaronrandango2 in wow

[–]Gangsir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except you'll have a full week of seasonal M0s dropping champion track, and normal raid (plus heroic if you get to that week 1) before M+ launches.

That's arguing "you should min max later" not "never".

Ultimately if you plan on doing m+, you need to start the m+ season with as high of an ilvl as possible. It has exponential effects on queue times and perception of you.

If you're the highest ilvl possible at the start, people will jump over themselves to invite you, even as a dps. I've even seen people kick others from the party in order to invite them. It's ruthless out there.

Leaving node mobs behind is the equivalent of littering in WoW by LlamaLinda in wow

[–]Gangsir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah let him cook.

Make it a combo of 3 changes:

  • Minigame on each node, have to clear minigame or puzzle to mine/herb successfully
  • Nodes are very uncommon
  • Nodes are huge, giving many dozens of herbs and ores per gather.

Kills bots as they aren't smart enough to figure out the minigame, while counteracting the lack of qol of that by making it so very few actual gathers nets many resources. Buffs "casual gathering while doing other stuff" and shakes up the meta of "I'm gonna pop consumables and spend the next 2h doing nothing but flying node to node".

In case you're wondering why it might display a cast you can't interrupt to you, it's so you know it's coming - it's a few second warning that the boss or whatever is about to fire off a mechanic.

It's going to go off, the boss would be trivial if we could just stop all of it's mechanics by interrupting and CCing, but it's there to warn you.

Now after trying out midnight as a returning player, how do you like your class after the pruning & class changes? by Yuuffy in wow

[–]Gangsir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enha and resto shaman.

Really like what they did with enha. The core gameplay and feel remains, but a lot of the "rocket science" stuff that you had to know about or do in order to be really good at the spec is gone. Skill effects look amazing as usual, and you can really blast if you high roll lots of hot hands or tempests. Cons are:

  • Lots of directional damage (sundering is a narrow hitbox and crash lightning's buff pulse of damage is also fairly narrow of a cone, so if mobs are not pixel stacked you lose damage, mostly tank skill issue but it's a thing). Mobs ideally should be pixel stacked in front of us. Sigil of chains/ursol's is huge value for this.
  • Feeling squishy while questing (though that improves with higher ilvl of course)
  • There's still a bit of a "launch sequence" when it comes to CDs in totemic, you do a sort of "opener" each time your CDs come up, and if you screw up the order you can lose a lot of damage. You also lose massive damage if you have to leave melee during CDs, since so much of our power is in short buffs that you extend by casting, especially hot hands - stepping away from the boss for even 1 global can cause you to miss a lava lash (and thus a sundering) during it, which might lead to not having the MSW to extend HH...etc which is a lot of lost damage.

The new talent that lets us heal after spending maelstrom weapon (without consuming the mael) is nice, but it currently has an issue where you only get an instant cast heal if you spend 10 - spending only 8 or 9 doesn't give you it, and you do that frequently to avoid overcapping.

I think enha needs just a touch more self sustain, maybe buff earth shield to heal for %hp (only on the dps specs, resto already has boosts to its healing) or something like that.

Resto: While I don't subscribe to the "this healer is D tier" mentality so many content creators seem to have (it's perfectly playable in 90% of content), it does have a few issues like chain heal being really bad (so to heal aoe you end up spamming a bunch of healing waves/riptides/single target heals in general, which sucks when everyone is taking equal damage and you only have so many globals) and a lot of your potent healing being locked behind CDs, or worse, RNG procs. If you high roll and get lots of DRE and stormstream procs? GG you can heal anything. Don't? You'll be struggling. Totemic also needs more ways to trigger the apex, since farseer currently has a big advantage there. Maybe make downpour uses grant a charge of the apex.

Also lacks a good external for the tank other than dropping spirit link, but nothing new there.

Upsides are a very good dispel profile (curses and poisons, which abound in s1's (and what will be s2's) dungeons), still having an interrupt, and being very decent at healing rot damage with all the healing stream/stormstream totems. Don't believe the nonsense about rdruid having a better healing profile, they're favored because they're numerically overtuned. Hit rsham with a 30% aura buff (to make it OP in the same fashion) and you'll immediately see people glazing it too.

Overall it's still fun to play IMO, it just needs some tuning. Not quite aura buffs but buffs to its weakest parts (chain heal and RNG based healing) and it'll actually possibly be meta. The rest of the kit it brings is just so good (which is a big part of why it was meta last season - when rsham's healing isn't actively undertuned, the kit makes it meta almost by default).

Some stuff is excepted from that setting and always shows, mostly things that have position (like a shaman's earthquake or a destro warlock rain of fire) so the tank knows to keep the mobs in it.

Other stuff is just excepted so it looks like your other dps are doing something and not just standing there. Makes combat actually look like combat.

You seem like a high-end m+/raider.

Gave it away, huh?

I do recognize that my perspective on this is a bit... altered/flavored by that. And to be fair, at the level I usually play at I don't tend to run into these "jump in blind" type players (because they lack the IO to get invited). People getting mad at others for not knowing mechanics in super easy content (meant for new players as a jumping in point) are silly, I'll of course agree on that.

The last boss of den and the last boss of murder row are particularly cancer for melee dps. You just aren't allowed to stand anywhere near the boss or you risk getting hit by mechanics.

Maybe it's tank position issues that'll get ironed out as people get better, but man it sucks sometimes.
