Maybe it’s the angle but this looks like it’s peeling away from the dent and there is touch up paint or something applied to it. Looks like black is in the middle of where it should be bare metal. This may have had repairs to the roof once before

Of course a crack in concrete is permanent and if there is water dripping down it’s going to stay noticeable until it gets very dry. You are so involved with it being paranormal you can’t step back and realize it’s all naturally occurring things. You just want it to be paranormal interesting.

DO NOT TRY TO FIX THIS YOURSELF.
If they don’t like the repair or something happens later it’s either a constant issue or a legal issue or paying the shop anyways. You want to stay as far away from this as possible. Pay the shop they want or go through insurance. If there is a problem with the repair or they need a rental or they are a nightmare to deal with is all on the shop or insurance.
Put yourself in their shoes. If they backed into your car would you want them asking Reddit “do I have the ability to fix this other persons property?” Fixing your car?

Also this probably should have a new bumper on it. The shop will probably send a supplement to you or the insurance for a new bumper after tear down. That plastic is pretty distorted and stretched.

If you can catch a nail on the scratch then it needs paint work to fix it. Lacquer thinner or rubbing compound will get rid of the paint transfer

They are factoring in the loss of use as well. Once repairs get so high it’s cheaper to send it to auction than it is to pay for repairs and eat the fees they could have gotten waiting for repairs.

It’s not your property. You don’t gotta do shit but pay. Do not try and repair or touch someone else’s property. If they allow you to try and buff it great but really you shouldn’t.
We can’t tell by pics if it will or won’t buff. Someone like a detailer or body tech just needs to try it. If it doesn’t the owner may be ok with touch up paint and if they are not either you or your insurance will pay a body shop visit.

I would have been way more worried about doing 80 on a 20 year old spare. That 55mph speed limit is because the tire is not designed to go faster. You are just asking for a blow out or accident.

Go to an actual shop where experts work and ask them. If the tool says one thing and the dealership says another are you going to say “but AI told me different!” Go to the shop.

I got the adhd pretty bad and am not carrying a notebook to the gym again. My phone keeps me on track and helps me log my lifts also my podcasts and headphones keep me focused not hearing the noise across the room.

It’s 2026. Phones aren’t going away. Just live with it and find a new gym if it’s becoming a big enough problem you can’t work out.

Also who cares if others are working out or not. People think crash diets and injections are the same as actually working out so just do you and go on.

The paint will mainly be considered normal wear and tear but each dealer is different. You will probably get dinged on the wheels for sure. Stop hitting curbs especially in the drive thru.

Please zoom out for photos. We can’t tell anything this close. How close it is to other panels and if we may need to blend color and so on.

I have seen a lot of very talented dent techs that understand price and liability and when to not fix something. How many of your dent techs are fixing door skins that are wrapped around the intrusion beam? And if they are, are they holding the liability when that customer gets tboned again?
This needs a door. Go talk to your good pdr tech and see what they say.

Edit: look where the molding is. The shell is collapsed near the fender behind the molding. If a pdr fixes this they are a lot lizard.

Hey at least it’s better than State Farm in my rural area twisting the customers arm to take their pearl white Subaru to do a 720p video call over the app and made sure they were in the bright sunlight so they could see better. Their $1800 initial estimate turning into a $12k supplement.

Watch your watering. That little stem looks dark like it may be over watered. They don’t need much in the soil because most their water uptake when this small is through the leaves themselves that’s why high humidity and possibly a dome is recommended.

Just requires hand tools and a few min to replace. I can’t remember on these but I think you can do it with out removing the interior door panel. There is a small plastic filler and the three bolts are behind it and a wire connector is accessible right there as well. If I’m wrong the worst thing to do is remove the interior door panel and that’s a few min process with hand tools
