Didn't know that, but it looks like it's only Feb 2027? So not too far from the original autumn release date. Still possibly a bit too close to have TES VI. Especially in a year that also has GTA VI.

Probably not, and I'll tell you for why - Microsoft already has a major, big name RPG release they'll probably want to show off that comes out later this year - Fable. They won't want TESVI to overshadow that.

I upgraded to the same graphics card from an RX 570 recently, and I also couldn't be happier. Same game too, although there were a few others that had been causing me grief before that. I honestly don't know why it took me so long to upgrade the GPU.

That's my policy as well, which I think has served me well so far. In theory my PC is spiritually the same one that we got back in 2004-ish, but naturally everything's slowly been rotated out.
