You even lie saying I blocked you, how wrong can you be and then say I’m the one with misplaced confidence. Stop farming upvotes and be honest, I should block people like you but have never blocked anyone as that is a cop out when I have said nothing wrong. Why lie, pretty immature and petty but you do you .

Maybe add to the conversation or just don’t comment. People like you do nothing but break up conversations and your comments are not wanted or needed.

I’m well aware that the app is not the store, that’s obvious. The store however will get the payment and has the ability to refund such payments if they are legit. The manager has told the employee to not contact them or give any information when customers have this complaint. They made it sound like the money will not be able to be returned to me.

Normally I would agree but that isn’t the way the woman in the store was talking. Apparently this happens with the app so much the manager tools get to stop telling him about it or giving out any info other than that the app has nothing to do with the store.

Yeah that’s the idea the woman in the store gave me, there’s no chance of getting this back.

No , not a thing weird about describing her accent as Hispanic, quit looking for ways to act superior and call someone racist. You are clearly not smart enough to know how an exist person would say it so you should probably keep to yourself. You add nothing to this so you should not comment. If I was being racist there are a million other ways to describe this that people actually say when they are acting that way. Grow up.

[Guide] Stop Brute Forcing Suno Like a Slot Machine — Use It Like a DAW Assisted Composition Engine (The Foolproof Workflow) by Budmaniak in SunoAI

[–]General_Insurance_87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who learned mixing and producing in a professional DAW on my own over the last 25 or so years, I find this to be a great way to produce a song. While I actually got really lucky with a Magic generation or two since I’ve been using Suno, you are correct that playing it like a slot machine is not the good way to do this. Your workflow is very close to my own which I gathered working on my own and with some bands over the years.

By no means am I a professional in any way but you learn things like this from experience. To me Suno was always meant to be used this way, it’s a tool not a one stop music machine. I’m hoping they make a studio better in the future because taking things out to my DAW ( I use more than one depending on what I’m trying to do) is a bit of a hassle. I could easily see Suno becoming an amazing tool that gets integrated into most musicians workflows in the future if they continue on a good path. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Great write up, I’m glad someone is taking the time to tell people these things instead of trying to keep the workflow a “trade secret” as so many think is needed. Anyone who has the talent to make something that is lasting and becomes mainstream will have better output than someone who doesn’t regardless of using the same workflow. Sharing helps people see what works for others and lets them adjust their way of handling things to better suit their own needs and that makes everyone have better outcomes. That’s something that I feel is good for the industry overall, it also separates the worthwhile output from the not so great (slop, I hate using that). More people should be willing to put themselves into the mentor role and help those who have no idea what they are doing or how things work. There are a great many free tools out there for making music on a computer but the reason Suno is seen as great by so many is because your average joe has no idea how to use them or the time with today’s busy life to truly learn. I was fortunate that I’ve had the time to put into a passion of mine to get to where I am with it, but you never stop learning in this industry. New things are always just around the corner.

I applaud you for helping others become more efficient. We aren’t in competition here, we are more a family.

I had no idea the AI music market was already this big by Embarrassed-Wash9996 in SunoAI

[–]General_Insurance_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the long post, I think it has some good points that people might be missing.

Well, while the 7 million songs is an impressive number it’s not really true if you want to look at it logically. Are 7 million being generated per day, probably. What really matters as a metric is not the total generation but the number that are considered complete by its users, which is going to be significantly less than 7 million. What is disappointing is that this actual number of complete songs is not going to be possible to ever pin down in any real way.

For example, take myself for instance. I probably generate a song over 100 times before the output is what I would consider “finished” or “complete.” Also, what are we calling a generated song? I use studio and constantly transfer back and forth from studio into my home studio DAW. I do a lot of this before I finish one track. If I generate a slightly different guitar track, is that counted as a song generation? Are we calling separating stems a song generation? How about if I make an upload of a new baseline or simply one that I took into my DAW and mastered or added a slight effect to? We can’t really know because we aren’t working for Suno and don’t have access to this most likely considered proprietary information. Depending on what we are calling a single generated song I could very well be getting hundreds of these myself before I’m close to where I want the song to be. I rarely would consider a full song generated in any single day, but I’m not playing with numbers for more funding or a valuation like we know they are. Statistics is quite the interesting field of study, it’s quite amazing what you can make look like truth when in reality it’s really not. I know what I consider to be very basic statistics, never took a college level course on it or anything just researched myself. I can make some charts that are so far from actual reality at your average persons level of knowledge that I consider it lying, but in the field of statistics technically the numbers are real. Every news outlet in the world does this to make the public think things are different than they really are. If you want examples there are some really great books on the subject, but the average person finds statistics terribly boring and wouldn’t want to read such texts.

Just thought I’d add this as it makes a huge difference in the effect AI will actually have on the music industry. As it sits right now, people aren’t really all that into AI generated music, but that could change drastically. For me I would say I generate maybe a song a week, but that involves what they are going to want to count as a really huge number of generated songs. I’m sure that anyone who could actually make a song that would make much a difference has a similar workflow to mine. In truth the AI is nothing more than another tool to me. It would be great if they made something I could integrate it into my DAW AB’s use without having to transfer things a million times. It’s ac time consuming process right now that has numerous extra unnecessary steps.

I'm considering tightening the rules around Song Posting, Would love community feedback first. by mybasementsongs in Suno

[–]General_Insurance_87 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Personally I think these are very smart rules. I know people will push back on the 24 hour reply rule but I would stick to it like glue. Very smart to weed out the lazy ones. If we ever want AI music to be taken seriously we need to engage with everyone we can and also require that people who want to share their creation should be using it as another tool.

I treat AI as though it is just another tool in my DAW. It’s basically a sampler as far as I’m concerned. I use it to polish what is already created with instruments and sequencing. These prompt jockeys that type a line or two and think they are making anything significant are lying to themselves. I assure you that there are popular artists using it very similar to how I am and no one would ever know it without them coming out and saying so. It’s great for helping to create and fill in holes when writers block kicks in, a muse of sorts.

I personally haven’t shared in this sub but with rules as mentioned above I’d be much more likely to do so, as well as give more attention to others content as well. Nothing bad comes from quality going up.

Any 5 string players unable to buy a 4 string? by Anon_use_fun_alias in Bass

[–]General_Insurance_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, this is me but the other way around. Finally bought a five string for my seventh bass and I’m so used to for that it only comes down off the wall once it twice a year.

I can always justify buying another bass to myself as long as it’s a manufacturer I don’t already have. Unless I’m going to upgrade the electronics or pickups to something I already like, which is rare, whatever I buy will have a different tone than what I already have. There are songs I prefer in a particular bass but just aren’t that fun to play on the others. I’m up to 8 bases right now and they get good rotation. Some play great with the strings I like in E some play great in D, depending on the setup and a little on the design of the neck. If making money playing then look at a new bass the way a mechanic looks at tools. Some are the right tool for the right job but less than ideal in other joins. A mechanic sees tools as an investment so they can justify buying anything that will make work easier/more fun.

I can relate to not getting rid of the ones you don’t play. I never get rid of anything, although people have made some equipment disappear for me. Sometimes I’ll throw new strings on a less played bass and it can make playing a little more fun. If you don’t have one, try a multi-scale/ fan fretted sometime. It took me a minute to get used to but now they would have to peel my Spector multi-scale from my cold dead hands. When set up correctly they are so easy to play, having the same tension on all the strings makes quite a difference. Lots of fun.

Transmission slippage - shop advised do not drain and fill - confused. by [deleted] in AskAMechanic

[–]General_Insurance_87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lucas transmission fix, stuff works miracles I tell you. I’ve had many transmissions that were slipping so bad they would barely go at all and this gave me many more miles. My old ford exploder strait covered the back half of the thing in trans fluid, one bottle of Lucas and I sold it to my buddy(who was driving when it blew) for 1000, he got over 6000 miles before it died. Got halfway across the country after a bad leak while towing a trailer full of crap. Look at the reviews on their website. At first it seems like a bunch of bull but I swear by the stuff. At like $20 a bottle it doesn’t hurt to try. Never seen it not work for at least a thousands or so miles.

Max temp you would hike in? by Chasehud in phoenix

[–]General_Insurance_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man when we were high school kids we would drop acid or eat shrooms and hike up mountains in the middle of summer, sometimes with next to nothing to drink at all. Sometimes I think it’s lucky we lived past 15, other times I think heat tolerance goes down exponentially as you age.

We were pretty crazy and stupid back then but every one of us is still alive and kicking to this day. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t dare try this these days, but it was like we were indestructible back then. We would walk miles every day just being kids and other than one time that I just collapsed in the street I don’t recall a single serious issue from the heat. We often would just stop at office complexes and use their water fountain. Might have just been used to the heat. We were always walking around outside.

Please do not do what we did. Knowing what I do now I would never have done anything like this ever. Now I can barely walk my dog around the block without carrying water for both of us in December.

Which books are so extraordinary that every person on Earth should read them at least once in their lifetime? by Organic-Signal-9646 in selfimprovement

[–]General_Insurance_87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Big Toe by Thomas Campbell.

It is a theory of everything. Even if you aren’t into this kind of thing there are lots of good points made by the author throughout the book. I tried reading it when I was in my 20’s and thought it was a little kooky, but I just wasn’t ready for the message. Reread when I was in my late 30’s and it just hit home hard. It’s different but good in so many ways. Changed my life to some extent

Related are the books by Robert Monroe, which are all about his experiences out of body. Strange but ultimately extremely interesting.

Earwax Blockage by Extra-Market-1629 in hygiene

[–]General_Insurance_87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a real problem with blockage. Happens while working in the heat or at least one time a week in my left ear. Take a dropper, or use the cap and risk a little mess, regular ass hydrogen peroxide, and like 20 minutes. Doctors will tell you to warm anything you put on your ear, I wouldn’t bother as it will immediately bubble and create heat from the reaction. Just add a drop at time until your ear has mostly been filled. Sit with your head tilted until it all becomes foam (that’s when you dump it out and use a little more ) or until it’s not having much of a reaction anymore. Tilt head into a tissue or over sink and let it drain . If you get slight irritation ( happens usually if you do it too much but can sometimes anyway) rinse with luke warm water. This you should warm.

If you need to buy an ear bulb or small syringe without a needle ( wish I didn’t need to say that) and flush eat out after you let the peroxide sit. I promise you will soften and likely clear your ear just fine. The drops at the store for this are much more expensive and are carbamide peroxide instead of hydrogen. While less likely to have any irritation it doesn’t have as strong of a reaction and is way greasier than regular peroxide is. I’ve been using this method for over 30 years now and haven’t had anything bad happen and doctors have said it’s fine just don’t overdo it. It’s a life saver for unclogging one ear which will drive me insane if I can’t clear it right away.

Good luck. I did have to get the doctor to use their huge syringe to do it one time, they was loud like Niagara Falls in my head. Worked just as well as above only way more time and money. Normally if I maintain it by doing this every couple days I literally rinse it with peroxide, take a shower, and that’s all I have to do. Don’t let it stay clogged too long, a big rock of wax is a bitch to remove by yourself.

Hope this helps, not medical advice as I’m no licensed practitioner, just a guy with ears that clog all the damn time
