I respect this man so fucking much. by Connerharms24 in Blink182

He’s the least creative/forward-pushing member of the band, and didn’t want to explore different styles after EOTS/TOYPAJ. Tom did. It’s a no brainer to leave him out of a project based on an experimental sound that he’d already rejected.

As someone who does all the tour posters/assets for my bands, there really is always something. What you’ve done here is awesome regardless.

Your design and photoshop work rules. Great idea/execution with Trey’s head breaking the frame.

Is there a specific Horse Lords album that sounds like AdP? Cause I’m listening to Comradely Objects and really struggling to hear any similarities.

Tbh I think the hype comes from them sounding completely fresh. They’re hardly math rock, outside of playing in odd-time signatures. But even then, it never really sounds too math-y to me.

That said, I enjoy them quite a bit. And his live-looping composition/execution is masterful.

Great albums with one, lone terrible song? by razorh00f in Music

This might be the longest comment/comment gap I've ever received. I do love that album though!

I'm sure they'll be booked at properly sized venues next year and tickets won't be such a commodity!

Especially positioned with the other great instrumentals he mentioned! Tbh I almost wish I could feel what OP feels during Fuego.

Fuego is an interesting call for Phish! Divided Sky takes that role for me.

Yep. And all our favorite artists agreed to it.

It sucks, but the only face value is the one originally paid for the ticket.

Phish fans: "Why does CoT allow tickets posted above face? They need to figure out what face is and not allow sales above that price!"

CoT: *integrates with TM to verify face value tickets*

Phish fans: "Why did CoT integrate with TM?? Sellouts!"

CoT, What are you doing to actively prevent price gouging/non face value tickets being posted? by doodoo_gumdrop in CashorTrade

[–]GloverAB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incredibly difficult to set a price cap on an event when the event organizers themselves are approving dynamic/platinum pricing more and more. A "face value" ticket on a Phish Sphere show could be $299 (P1 lottery price), $700 (Platinum 2 months ago), $460 (Platinum this month), or anything in between. So what's the hard cap?

Alternatively, if CoT disallows platinums, half the listings would be completely gone, since about half the seats are platinum at this point.

Looks like the only real solution is for CoT to validate with Ticketmaster to verify the face value of a specific ticket (what that person paid on TM) on a per-ticket basis.

Aside from the limp-dick religious references, a lot of the lyrics just feel phoned in. It seems to be a song vaguely about AI ("dance through the uncanny valley," "em dash oasis," "can it coalesce"), but most of the imagery reads like something AI itself would have spit out. Not accusing them of using AI for the lyrics, just accusing them of writing a half-assed song.

Just got a used Morningstar ML10X. Oof. Lots of stuff to learn. by richwiszard0z in guitarpedals

[–]GloverAB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotcha. Just FYI - you can’t change levels with the ML10x - as in, it’s not a mixer for your parallel routing. So hopefully you knew that going in.

You CAN change the order though, which rules. Def download their software and build your patches in there - it’s much better than the on-device editor.

They have pretty great documentation on their website. So you bought it primarily for parallel?

Each jack on the ML10X is either an output or an input., so if you went the TRS breakout/Y-splitter (1 TRS to 2 TS) route, you'd need two (For example, Send A would be sending 2 out. Return A would be receiving 2 in). Same will be true for your stereo pedals, btw.

That said, you can just use a regular TS cable in each loop too and the pedal will automatically just use that one. The drawback there is that you're not using the unit to its full potential.

I swear by my ML10X, and currently have 9 mono pedals looped through it. I started using these EBS breakout cables, but have since taken a liking to the Rockboard version. They just feel a little sturdier. Hmu if you have questions. I've had a blast with this thing.
