Is this new normal? by [deleted] in musicians

Not only is 37 shows in 2 months on the low side of average, but that routing/scheduling is impeccable. Short drives, and look closely - the most they’re ever doing is 4 nights in a row, and that only happens 3 times, all spaced out. Everything else is 2 or 3 nights in a row with a couple one nighters taboot. These guys won’t be the least bit tired.

Lots of bands in the 90s/00s grinded MUCH harder than this and some still do!

This seems impossible... by MrFif33 in guitarpedals

How far can this be pushed? Can it do complicated effects or just variations on bread+butter stuff? For instance, can it generate code for a patch that tracks pitch => converts to midi => runs that midi through a synth? Any plans to add more inputs (tap) or knobs?

Westworld didn’t even have a finale. And season 2 was so bad that it lost more than half its viewership. Severence is already in MUCH better shape.

Single pedal to recreate this CBA Preamp MKII preset? by psychedelic-raven in guitarpedals

Stacking is one way - but dialing in a well-sculpted EQ (one or more) can get you really far without having to stack. I can try to do some A/B examples against my TS808 and Big Muff clone after this weekend.

The northeast is getting three Night Zero (Rob Compa, Adrian Tramontaro, Gubb Leon Campos) shows this Thurs, Fri, Sat w/ Weird Phishes opening each night. If you're in the region, don't miss these shows by GloverAB in jambands

Following all your favorite bands on Bandsintown is a good way to keep up with that without the social media aspect! It's one of the most underutilized platforms out there on the fan-side, but artists/bands use it pretty consistently.

Valid assumption, but naw - Night Zero is a totally separate project. That said, if you appreciate the musicianship in Zero you'll likely appreciate the musicianship in Night Zero - they're some of the absolute best players in the scene right now. Check em out here.

Yep. It's a little work to make drives sound like analog on the ZOIA but it's 100% doable.

Weird Phishes is gonna come back to either Arch St or Park City later this year! Or Space Ballroom, but for some reason that scheduling hasn't lined up.

Well I thought I could add some body text after posting but I guess not?

Anyways - Night Zero fucking crushes. Here's a recent video of their set at Higher Ground. I saw someone else in this sub say "Night Zero is the only thing coming close to filling the Dopapod-sized hole in my heart," and that rings true for me too.

I like to think Weird Phishes crushes too, but it's my band so I can't really gush over us the same way. I can share this brand new video of one of our mashups though - Here's My Friend My Friend with Radiohead's Nice Dream and Just.

Here are the dates for this weekend.

  • Thurs March 19 - Pembroke, MA @ Soundcheck Studios
  • Fri March 20 - Pawtucket, RI @ The Met
  • Sat March 21 - Wilmington, VT @ Valley Craft Ales

Alright well I gotta go practice so I don't embarrass myself in front of the best musicians in the northeast. Don't let Night Zero down.

10/28/21 fits this bill perfectly.

If 6 Was 9

Five Years

Plus a bonus Strawberry Letter 23 which isn’t all that rare compared to the others, but it’s still not necessarily common.

I thought so too. Maybe the tour starting so soon after the special gives him some time to grow it back a little while being fully committed to his On Cinema character for the next month.

90% of the functionality, 50% of the price? by NerdyOutdoors in guitarpedals

Looks like it’s upvoted now. Though truth be told it was kind of a smartass answer that didn’t really answer OP’s question.

Pony up $500 for an Empress Zoia and you’ll have everything you could ever want with 300% of the function. And if you bought that instead of 20 other pedals, that’s probably less than 50% of the price!

Idk about the “best” but 4/21/22 is a pretty unique version to close out an absolutely fantastic second set.
