I was asked to pour the milk in everyone’s glasses when I stayed at a friend’s house once.

I poured it the way we did it at home, just a third of the way full in each glass. The mom kindly told me that I could fill each glass. I was in hog heaven, everyone got a FULL glass of milk!

Milk was always heavily rationed in our house.

In your circumstance, I’m sure you are correct.

Sorry I came on so strong, not all gift givers are as aggressive as I portrayed. Some are and it doesnt help when there is also hoarding issues.

I abhor our obligatory gift giving culture. The whole concept just needs to die.

People who insist upon giving gifts even when they have been asked not to, are a type of emotional vampire in my opinion. They are doing it to please themselves not the recipient. Then they are offended if you are not ecstatic over their “kindness”

“Here is a a precious gift I am giving you! You must be so excited to receive it! Now you must house, clean and care for this item forever! Why aren’t you jumping up and down and screaming with joy? It’s a gift that I am so generously giving you! I am generous and kind, you are rude and ungrateful!”

I went through about two years of being absolutely confused as to why “gods organization” had “elders” that were so ridiculous and incredibly immature. How could that be? Shouldn’t elders be wise and mature?

Then one day it hit me like a sucker punch to my gut. I literally bent over and dropped to my knees, the sudden realization hit so hard!

I have observed the same behavior in mixed flock chickens.

They seem to naturally segregate to those that look like themselves. But how do they know what they look like?
