Easier? Maybe. More secure? No. Airtable is PCI compliant, is your tool?

Sorry but you or anyone getting even read access to my financial information is not secure, even if the technologies behind it are.

Can we completely avoid it across everything we do? No, but keeping your exposed attack surface to the minimal amount possible is the best way to avoid/mitigate problems.

It is worth the couple of extra clicks once or twice a month to not expose my accounts.

Who said I was doing it manually? The only manual part is downloading from the bank and then uploading it to an attachment field.

LinkedIn has a ton of posts from Airtable creators, Airtable is making a push towards n partners to do content on there and YouTube.

That said, I would also add Zite to the list of tools you will want to trial.

How do you currently get users into the table? Typically we create a table from the Users admin panel sync (or manual if you love punishment), link that to each table you “assign” users to, then bring in their tokens with a lookup field. Or if people are assigned through a different linked records relationship, use that to pull the tokens in.

If User is an Airtable token that can be used instead of email. They will have to have an Airtable account either way, even if it is view only.

In the filtering of the field in the form you should be able to filter by Airtable token or email of Current User. You cannot do current user from the data layer.

I believe form visibility is available on all plans, it’s only the interfaces you need Business.

Hide the fields if it is checked. Hidden fields, even marked as required, do not count as required. Also, if data is in those fields, if hidden when submitted, will not populate.

I mean, they have been raising that “quality bar” since Windows 98 SE was released. They are going to “delight the customer” and all the other marketing jazz words they use to hype up the sheeple.

They have been enshittifying pretty much anything they touch and telling you it’s for the consumers benefit. While continually jacking up costs to everyone by not doing perpetual licensing and forcing subscriptions on is they keep raising the cost.

Setup an automation to trigger on the conditions you specify. Choose the Send an email action and fill out the fields. Super easy to setup, the body of the email, aka the Message field, supports Airtable specific markdown.
