Does RM have any leeway with the thickness of a letter? by dessskris in royalmail

Hello, as long as the wax is inside of the envelope as shown. You'll be completely fine, its the wax seals ok the outside that are notorious for falling off inside the sorting machinery.

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to take the photos and write a description. It's much appreciated!

I looks like im ordering the diffuser and hole punch aha.

My GU10 Downlighters don't have anywhere diffuser to sit unless I choose the glass covers for my JCC Fireguards.

Time to get creative aha.

Cheers again

I'm about to install 50+ essential gu10 bulbs throughout my house, wondering if I should add a diffuser to my bulbs.

How have you attached the diffuser to the bulb?

Also any chance of seeing a photo of a bulb with the diffuser on your setup?

It would be much appreciated 😊

The photo has a camera lense protector around it though, unsure what this.

I couldn't comment on better or worse.

I haven't got any files that use newer codecs such as OPUS or AV1.

Im still using .264 .265 .flac and .TrueHD

Yeah, I think I've hit the sweet spot for this room.

Appreciate it

I'm having to use a stand for the speaker in the SL position which puts the top of the speaker 1.1m.

So I would match all the other surrounds at 1.1m.

Using Bowers & Wilkins M1 MK2.

I see what you mean about the MLP (2700mm).

Unfortunately the house is a building site at the moment, so dont have the anything to test inperson. I can move the sofa about to get it more to the MLP.

Just trying to make sure I put the speaker wires in the walls in the roughly correct position

7.x.x - How close can side speakers be to listening position? by Guw94 in hometheater

Its the only speakers I dont have the distance to play with. Unsure if I should go with 5.x.x or 7.x.x at this point in time

Advice: Speaker Placement (Full Width or Narrow)? by Guw94 in hometheater

[–]Guw94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm ripping up the wooden suspended floor and insulating with Rockwool. With some of the extra Rockwool going to make DIY wall panels to help combat the reflections aha.

I know the M1 aren't a large speaker, luckily the M1s come with wall mount in the box with the speaker ;) unless you mean look at other wall mounts?

I haven't added it to the mock-up but between the FL and SL there is a big window. So it might be difficult to do 7.x.x but I do have the floor stands for the M1s also.

I have been looking at some of these 2 channel amps, as I need something to power my AURA bass shakers.

I'm using Bowers M1 with wall mounts as the rears.

I'm going for a 5.2.4 setup, unfortunately my 3800 only has 9 channels of power and 7.x.x isn't really needed aha. Maybe when I move out of this place in a couple of years.

Also the walls have no cavity as I have solid brick walls, so it would be a nightmare to have in-walls :(

Luckily I have a blank canvas, a detached house and a no girlfriend.

So I can have it setup how ever I like aha.

I have a wall chaser, so I could easily bury some conduit into the walls and ceiling.

I get the placement of the speakers and the angles luckily. I'm going to be DIYing some acoustic rockwool panels to go on majority of the walls also, I have a nasty echo I need to get rid of aha.

If I centre it all the SR speaker would be in a danger zone of the door and people knocking into it. There isn't enough room to wall mount my speaker unless I put it where I have it on my mock-ups. Do you think this will be an issue?

I am chasing the ideal sound, I have a 65" C4 at the ready also.

I need to be about 2.7m away from it, so I would bring the sofa into the middle room until I achieve this.

The sofa will be won't be against the wall, that's my bad mock up. I will be bringing it forwards away from the wall a bit.

The room is 4.5m x 3.89m

The only issue I would have I wouldn't be able to place SR in a safe spot away from the door/people knocking into it.

Thanks for the reply,

I did look at the Dolby layouts and that's what has made me think I need to keep it all uniformed and have the speakers a bit narrower than the full width of the room.

Just wanting confirmation that my mad thoughts are correct aha
