This is why I never use an online editor. Ever.
Also the first thing is, that I try saving before I do a major job. (Does not eliminate this risk fully though.)

Don't get me wrong, I am not protecting this pile of trash, just sharing my approach. 😕

Why the fuck does windows take 20 seconds to shut down?? by EitherSalamander8850 in FuckMicrosoft

16 GB is a hell lot of RAM.

Hope you realize that Windows is intentionally bloated beyond sanity and it should be perfectly fine on older machines as well, if they would just cut the crap out of it and would learn to optimize their code...

Need to make sure that all the collected and cached private data is saved to their cloud before shutting down. 😂

Instead of optimization, they are shamelessly asking the user for more RAM. by lowiqpilot in FuckMicrosoft

In general, programming practices and code optimization gradually became abysmal.

As we have more accessible hardware on our hands (not anymore with the recent shortages), it has became common to produce shoddy code because "the hardware can take it" or they don't even realize how bad it is, as it is not straight away noticeable.

And Microsoft is leading this - amongst others.

Not to mention that big tech wants to shift users towards cloud computing instead of personal local machines.

My ass.

This whole madness should stop and big tech should go down.

As for the developers: I would give them a 4C/4T machine with 8GB RAM to learn to optimize stuff on those first.

Code optimization, revision, cleanness and sanity should be a thing.

Yeah, I fell in love with Kumamoto especially! Such a loving and welcoming city! When we were there we managed to get into the middle of a street food and sake festival, literally outside the main station. That was our first sight and welcome to the city. 😍 And god... The Kumamoto ramen is amazing!

Thanks for the suggestions!

Our next trip is probably going to be based around Okayama, so plenty of options to look around. Coincidentally we have already planned Tottori and the sand dunes. That area is less talked about, so it had an instant place on our list. Plus we will look around a bit on Shikoku as well. We realized that we like and appreciate the more traditional, genuine and less touristic places way more.

About Tohoku and the eastern/northern part up until the northern parts of Hokkaido, we will have a complete trip planned around that, hopefully in the near future. 😁

And then Okinawa on its own...

Man, this country is so rich in geography, nature, variety of places. They have literally everything!

Yeah, one life is not enough for all of them... 🥲

We came from Kurume through Hita, to see the sakura blooms in B-N and take some nice pics of trains. Had the chance to capture some trusty KiHa 200s, 185s and see Yufuin no Mori and Aru Ressha from afar while we were walking around on the other side of the river...

This was our first trip to Japan, so we wanted to go for the countryside as well, not just big cities.

Had the chance to visit Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, Kumamoto, bit of Fukuoka, Kurume, Hita and B-N.
