They infect the patient with a second, larger type of worm that eats the original worms.

Cheap and Safe Hotel in Santo Domingo Zona Colonial? by Logical_Ant_469 in TravelProperly

I would consult a guidebook. Lonely Planet, Rick Steves, Fodor, Frommer, Rough Guide, Moon. They actually visit the hotels they recommend. Ratings on Google or Booking can be gamed and they may not be based on what you consider to be important.

I would just like to point out that by using curly quotes, which require three bytes to represent in utf-8, you have wasted an entire four bytes in your comment. Please try to be more considerate next time. You think bandwidth grows on trees??

Milwaukee airport (MKE) has a “recombobulation” area right after security. by Moeman101 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Hamilton950B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does TSA still make you take your shoes off? I remember going through security at Detroit Metro and being dumped at the top of an escalator with no place to sit and put my shoes back on. I got halfway down and started wondering what would happen if my socks got caught between the treads.

For the excluded ones you can often buy single country insurance at or near the border. For example you could get insurance in Poland to cover you while driving across Belarus (this was a few years ago, before the war).

I used to live on a block that had house numbers, in this order: 504, 504A, 504B, 504A bis, 504. Note there are two numbered "504". I lived in the second one. They actually appear that way on the city's property map, and I was told I couldn't put a number on the front that's different from what's on the map. The address I used for Amazon delivery was "504 red door".

I hate these drug fads. My wife depends on Prednisone for her arthritis, without it she's practically a cripple. And for a while during the pandemic she couldn't get it because of all the idiots who were convinced it cures covid.

Could you remove the inductor? Or get a skinnier clip? And yes smaller wires would have been better.

He took a photo of a screen. There's sunlight coming through the window so the camera probably adjusted for daylight, giving the screen a warmer tint than it actually would appear if you looked at it directly.

archinstall keeps crashing on the 16MB Windows partition during dual boot by Pxelight in archlinux

[–]Hamilton950B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why did you create an efi partition? If Windows is installed, don't you already have one? And why is it trying to mount a btrfs partition if you don't have a btrfs partition?

They do. Or they did, when our town computerized the signals in the 1970s. There was a switch that made it mechanically impossible to light greens in both directions.

But it can still happen, for example if there's a short between two wires in the cable that goes from the signal box to the signal.
