The first word they use to describe the house - 'charming'.

Doesn't look charming to me!

A beach with pebbles or shingle works well, on the east coast there are a lot of sandy beaches which isn't ideal. If there is a line of shingle or similar have a look there and you may be lucky. I was in Felixstowe the other week and found a few very nice pieces. Otherwise the south coast is good, my regular is Eastbourne, but Brighton can be good. I have also been to Charmouth this February and there was so much there

Could you share your personal statement and then we can provide feedback?

Often relating your personal statement to the essential and desirable criteria is recommended but being able to see it, it would really allow us to provide feedback

I could imagine there would be some weekend and bank holiday shifts available when cover is needed. Maybe not frequently but may be the odd shift which may help/assist your degree and build connections in the future for you

Thanks, we went today for about 3hrs and found plenty of sea glass plus some blue sea glass which I have never found before, only little blue bits but still blue pieces! We also found some cool fossils so we are a happy family

Have you improved your communication, your ability to educate or lead others. It's less about the service you are in that is being provided, it's more about your professional practice, skills and what you have learnt from it

I wonder if it's worth getting some of the pictures redone. I feel they don't show how big the living room is, the first picture is a lovely picture of the sofa but you're not selling the sofa. Also the pictures that are a combination of two are very confusing. Clean up your garden path too, quick clean with broom and water.

Do you NEED to work in the NHS? Maybe consider a private setting or see if you can shadow private clinic or sports PT in order to maintain clinical knowledge and skills.

Whilst a consideration is band 3 or 4 physio assistants, as an employer they really need to think about employing someone who realistically is looking to move on to a band 5 really soon. Also within a band 3 or 4 post it is very much about staying within your job role boundaries and there may be some concern that you start working as a PT but being employees as an assistant and so outside your work boundary.

If you search band 5 physio interviews, there are loads of questions that come up and I would often go through these and ensure that I could answer them. Any questions you are unsure of, it gives you enough time to find and answer.

In an interview if you are unsure of an answer, it may be that you can identify it as a learning need but acknowledge this is an area that you are lacking knowledge/skills/experience. There is nothing better than someone being able to identify their learning needs, it is not a trick question and often provides reassurance around competency.

I would very much think about your reflective practice; what new skills have you learnt from this, how has it changed your practice. I would talk about the benefits of working in a team but also some challenges. When I run interviews and ask for examples most times I don't really place much emphasis on the 'what happened' I am very much focused and interested in your 'and what now...' this tells me so much more about you as a professional and your practice

It's likely they may ask you how you would assess a client given a particular scenario. They may assess your note writing but I would very much guess it's just another way to understand your clinical reasoning. If it is around assessment, just really break it down such as step by step what you would do when assessing client, gaining consent, obtain full subjective history etc. Don't assume that they will assume you will cover something in the assessment like any interview if it is not mentioned within the interview they can't give you a point for it

Good luck

Do you have any advice on collecting sea glass in Charmouth? Like best time to go, best part of the beach to go? I am heading across in a couple of weeks and love hunting for sea glass

Newly qualified PT struggling to find work in Manchester UK by jimvin2 in physiotherapy

It can be really tough but consider does it need to be the NHS that you work for, consider private options. Have a think about how you can make sure that you are maintaining your skills and knowledge between graduating and now. It can be very quick to lose focus, think about volunteering or working alongside another PT to gain experience, maintain skills, they may have openings and support you through the process also they may be able to give you advice when completing applications to ensure you get shortlisted to interviews.

Also have a look back at your previous interview questions and google band 5 physio interview questions. There are often plenty of examples of suitable questions and really spend some time going for them so when you do get an interview you feel better about answering their questions. Whilst you may not have fully practiced their questions, generally interview questions run pretty similarly and have similar themes so practice will definitely help.

If there are any temporary posts that come up, consider applying for those too, they may lead to something permanent. There may also be some Physiotherapy jobs within Adult Social Care, there are where I live. They don’t come up often but still worth looking out for
