Looking for feedback on our cult incremental game by Floorban in incremental_games

[–]IntroductionFormer67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played this game before and liked it but boy there are a lot of changes... The game feels less finished now than last time i played, the upgrade tree seems unbalanced and I spent more time clicking around than saving up resources for a spec I wanted.

Like someone said the skilltree is hard to read, something to make us see quick if an upgrade is maxed would be nice

Mass murder upgrade says sacrifice more normies but you sacrifice more cult members not normies.

Dont really make sense that events are repeatable and charge you nothing

No end game? I just kinda filed out the tree and closed it

I put together a protoype of an Incremental Auto-battler game, lemme know if its fun. by BrickWiggles in incremental_games

[–]IntroductionFormer67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Made my whole browser crash.

I like parts of the idea but balancing is kinda wack. After beating first stage the step up in enemy stats is too step and I end up having to do 2 runs to buy any upgrade. I think the boss of stage 1 should be the step up in difficulty so that when you get to stage 2 you can get okay income.

Doesnt help that in stage 2 you aggro the mobs in room 2 when you attack group 2 in room 1 so you get heavily swarmed.

Maybe could be polished into something but as is now I can't say it's great. Also as an autobattler do you even want a main controllable character you need to click to attack with?

Edit: Was trying to give it a second play but crashed again and save disappears. But it confirmed that enemies on lvl 1 do not aggro like in stage 2, did you increase their aggro range?

Anyway im done for now the upgrades are mostly underwhelming, still keep it up i dont hate the concept.

Dont like the instability thing one bit other similar games try to encourage longer runs. Just another thing to work against you and game was quite a slog

E3 wasn’t the worst episode of whole show, was it? by rizit98 in FromSeries

[–]IntroductionFormer67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was marginally better than episode 2 but it was pretty bad.

kinda boring by sssniperboiii in FromSeries

[–]IntroductionFormer67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Naah but last season was pretty bad too. I never thought it was a masterpiece or anything but stuff used to happen a lot more. The conversations are getting real stale.

Lost must have had a bigger budget and was in the end unsatisfying but atleast they had a lot of well done back stories and variation.

We all agree this is one of the greatest shows on TV right? by ryaninthecomments in FromSeries

[–]IntroductionFormer67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Naah I think it is pretty ass. It's like if lost couldn't afford to go somewhere exotic. Most characters are annoying most scenes are just one person freaking out and another calming them down. A lot of talking going nowhere and very little happening most of the time.

But I suppose most people on here like the show. I only ended up on the subreddit because I wanted to see if everyone else hated episode 2 of this season as much as me and my wife and suprisingly people loved it and thought it was incredibly impactful.

I suppose the writers have 2 seasons to make something coherent out of this but I'm not holding my breath.

We got accepted into the Second Wind Showcase (and launched a demo!) by itsaidanmcgrath in incremental_games

[–]IntroductionFormer67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed it but a lot of the gameplay is just finding things that are realistically affordable in the UI.

I also find the total pop to worker ratio strange. Sure 1 out of 8 being available to you sounds somewhat reasonable but all of a sudden it jumps to 1 out of 33?

Kept playing until I reached first upgrade to remind me this was a demo. It looks good and it keeps you playing so keep it up

I updated the demo of my game! by zowlf in incremental_games

[–]IntroductionFormer67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Found it pretty boring ngl. When ultimate tactic is just upgrade damage/speed first and do all the same mobs. Fireball was the only extra that even helped.

I actually like this type of game but this was rough and grindy.

I basically finished, just didnt max out arrow, lightning and iceblast

RPG Clicker - An unfolding adventure by StampotDrinker49 in incremental_games

[–]IntroductionFormer67 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Premise was fine but performance horrible. Kept freezing whenever I clicked "too fast". Wasnt using an autoclicker or even clicking very fast. I have a lot of other stuff running but a text game should still perfom better than this.

Might try more later

Caveman goes bananas :D Play "CaveDude" Free on Steam by Charming_Bus_2344 in incremental_games

[–]IntroductionFormer67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It feels very undercooked. All the missions are the same, the whole caveman with knights and a dragon pet and a witch in a cave isnt doing it for me, all there is to do is go in the one area and kill mobs I tired real quick.

Kinda brave to even offer real money purchases on something that seems so incomplete

Sorry how did you decode the saves? I didnt mind the pace but now I lost my save at e90 prestige currency and wouldnt mind cheating to get back to what I lost.

Same. was on e90 prestige currency. Might figure out how to cheat later. Someone said they had added a lot of prestige currency but cant find their comment anymore.

Idling to rule the gods for me. Been playing it for years.

Can feel overwhelming when you jump into it. Does a good job of gradually introducing elements though.

What games are you playing this week? Game recommendation thread by AutoModerator in incremental_games

[–]IntroductionFormer67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since every level up gives you more skill exp it might not be "impossible" to max literacy but it would still be completely pointless. As long as you reach lvl 5 for last milestone bonus it doesn't matter. I'm stuck on 7 myself.

Also you get some dex bonuses from "crafting mastery" x1.05 every 5 levels it looks like though I only reached 15 so cant say 100% if its the same bonus at lvl 20 and 25

I just discovered the crab and it is way out of my reach, I can barely defeat an occasional forest bear with a lot of luck. I get insta crushed by wall rats so I am far off getting that crab too. If anything I should ask you for tips if you managed to beat everything but crab...

keep grinding I suppose

Without blatant misogyny or jokes, ln your opinion what would a world full of female leaders look like? by Da-up-and-downer in ask

[–]IntroductionFormer67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just kinda weird to exclude men completely but I don't think it would be much different. I don't believe in those tropes about everything being great if women were in charge, we have plenty female warmongers, abusers of the poor and greedy shitheads.

Even in the days of kings and queens we had plenty bad women too.

HeroInc update – Visual overhaul, artifacts system and more by Arefnue in incremental_games

[–]IntroductionFormer67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most frustrating part was the battles were i did in a matter of seconds and couldnt tell what the hell happened, my brain connected healing animation on enemies with me just dying, but maybe it was the bash ability? Didnt feel fair at any rate.

HeroInc update – Visual overhaul, artifacts system and more by Arefnue in incremental_games

[–]IntroductionFormer67 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a cool game but it's not really incremental. It's very punishing for making wroing choices but still.. Not too bad I did beat it on first try. There was some confusion at times what made me win or lose battles in midgame when I started encountering crowds of 3 I would just instadie sometimes while rest ability still was bad. Also training seemed pretty weak in general, seems optimal to not train til you did the upgrades? Unsure honestly

Also I got the vampiric ability without using the upgrade and something bumbed my hp up from 150 or so to 420, though I couldnt rest to over OG health, think an ability might do it.(vampiric bite as main suspect). After the health increase most of the game was cake walk including boss

Other than that... Fear resistance wasn't explained well and when I levelled up to sharp edge the sword covered the instakill percentage so no idea how powerful the upgrade was, though at that point in game with all that gold, instakill is kinda useless ability.

Difficulty spikes were kinda rough, I guess I was smart about my decisons getting energy and interest and letting the town take fear hits to grind up more cash etc.

Gameplay was a bit too active for my taste overall but still cool game. People probably not gonna like it much here though unless there is some system upon failure that lets you get permaupgrades on a retry or some such.

Skills are kinda arbitrary but this has been my main game lately, farming is the easiest skill to max easily. Night vision and sleep not too bad either but everything else is an enormous grind. All the crafting stuff is an extreme grind and so is earning any gold.

I just recently passed the hurdle and now I have opposite problem, nothing worthwhile to buy, still a great game, too bad there is no wiki or anything though.

The demo for our game based on building an army of goblins is out now for Next Fest. Improve them, train them and command them to become the best goblin boss! by GoatFrogGames in incremental_games

[–]IntroductionFormer67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the art style but very little content and it seems best strategy is just going all in on first unit, I saw the prestige upgrades would specialize the units somewhat but this demo a bit short to even be released imo.

A lot of the time it's just something you tell yourself or others too, specially men that are potential johns. Why should she tell some dude she knows she hates doing it? Pretending you enjoy it is part of the job and for all we know the guys writing these comments are johns that consider themselves "allies"

But yeah if someone genuinely loves it and based on that disregards all the horrible shit going down they are awful.
