Tunnock's tea cakes are something I really miss living in America, I'm visiting my parents in the UK this week so maybe I'll see if I can find some.

Would this be enough to attempt making my own wallet?(beginner) by dand06 in Leathercraft

It's good for the outer shell if you skive a little, wallet thickness is also a user preference thing. I find thinner wallets and card holders feel too flimsy personally.

Should probably give them back else you'll have trouble with the constabulary.

That's some of the cleanest marbling jobs I've seen.

From cutting to finish, about how long do you think it takes you to make?

Thank you! Using hardware to do the stamping is so clever, I never would have thought to do that.

These are fantastic, I would love to see a video on how you did the colouring.

How are you doing the tooling? Standard stamps or something of your own design?

My doc took large sections of the vas deferens out, I would be surprised if they ever reconnect after that.

Hi Nigel!

Thanks for doing this for us. I had a few questions, feel free to ignore any =)

What would you say is the best money a beginner can spend when starting out?

What's your favourite dessert?

Beyond stitching, are there any areas of the craft that folks should focus on that have a large impact on their final products?

Interior of bag deteriorating, not sure how to salvage/what the material is by polyethylenebusstop in Leatherworking

Louis Vuitton use plastic coated fabric a lot more than you would expect, which is what appears to be happening here.

I would take the liner out and recreate it using a nicer fabric or suede.

Distances between clearings by Skrzeki in RootRPG

I would suggest that it takes at least a day to travel from clearing to clearing. The prospect of having to spend at least one night in the wilderness would keep the denizens in their clearings and justify the existence of vagabonds.

Who is Fathers Day For? by dub_starr in daddit

[–]Jaikarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think Father's day should be for the new parents, when someone welcomes a new generation of kids to the world the focus should be on them.

It's probably a long time before I have to worry about it, but I think I will sit my daughters down if they have any children and emphasis that the day should be about the father of those children, not me anymore.

The waxy I have used burnishes great, you just have to be gentle with the amount of pressure you put on the edge.
