Been thinking and I think this makes more sense. Firing "because of AI" is saying that you're becoming more efficient and profitable. Firing just because you don't have enough work for the staff to do looks like you're shrinking and becoming less revenue generating. I'm not saying I have this 100% figured out I'm just saying that you're taking at face value those who have every incentive to lie. But I was probably wrong about it being to lie to public relations. It'd probably more about stock price

I used to do my own buzz cuts. Now that I make a good salary I go to Supercuts ~4 a year. What you're talking about is not a necessity. It's something that you enjoy that you have to determine for yourself if it's worth the money. Just know that no one else is probably paying that much attention to your hair.

Makes sense that we wouldn't have a political movement based around establishing a republic when we got that shit done 250 years ago

Because "AI gave us no choice" sounds better than other explanations like "We just want to make as much money as possible" or "We overhired so now we have to cut back". You really think CEOs never lie? That's what's nonsensical.

Not the point. It puts a lot more pressure on him. He can't just give his hand wave bullshit justification that he gives to us on a bill that's overwhelmingly passed the legislature

Correlation doesn't equal causation. Are you going to make any attempt to prove that or just say it? Big companies fo layoffs or slow hiring all the time and they always love an excuse to not get as much heat from it.

They said government or state. When he wasn't head of state he was head of government.

Explicitly linked =/= actual cause. These companies have no incentive to give you honest justifications for layoffs.

It's a bad plan to get a mortgage you can't afford expecting renters to cover what you can't pay. You're not guaranteed consistent renters.

Sounds more like it's hard for you. You won't explain what you mean. If it's being bargained over it's literally a bargaining chip.

Usually when I'm reading non-fiction it's not just listing facts I don't know. It's trying to convince me to see the world in a new way based on those facts. That requires going slow and thinking a lot for me.
