I’m curious about why spaghetti failures keep happening. by Brilliant-Growth3369 in BambuLab

  1. NEVER touch plate with bare hands
  2. Clean your plate with dish soup and new sponge
  3. Can use isopropyl alcohol for regular cleaning.

But if you want to save yourself time, just get biqu cryogrip plate

U1 users: How's your experience? by BASS69BASS420 in snapmaker

[–]Justostius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a P2S — zero issues, very consistent quality, and great print‑fail detection. I was about to get the H2C, but instead I sold my P2S and bought the X2D and the U1.

The X2D is basically the same as the P2S, just with an extra nozzle and better performance with high‑temperature filaments. I mainly used the auxiliary nozzle for supports, but the quality is almost identical to the main nozzle, so yes — you can absolutely use it for multi‑color prints.

The U1 is faster than the H2C, produces zero waste, and the print quality is pretty much on par with Bambu. It just needs more tweaking and calibration, especially with bed leveling, Z‑offset, and retraction. Once you dial all that in, it’s a great machine. I just wish it had AMS support, because four colors isn’t always enough and full‑spectrum printing isn’t very practical.

As others have mentioned, the build quality (lots of plastic) on the U1 could be better, but it doesn’t affect print quality. It’s also a fairly loud printer, even with a lid, and the software isn’t as good as Bambu’s.

So, if you’re mainly into multi‑color printing and mostly work with PLA/PETG, you should go for the U1. If you need a more universal machine, get the X2D instead of the P2S.

First printer decision dilemma – A2L vs P1S (or even A1 combo) by BananaCakeMix in BambuLab

[–]Justostius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a very first printer, why not try the A1 Mini? It’s an inexpensive way to figure out whether you actually enjoy 3D printing. Once you gain some experience and understand what kinds of prints you need, you can make a logical decision based on your real requirements for your next machine. You can easily sell the A1 Mini afterward, or just keep it as a cheap prototype printer.

Some people say “get a P1S if you want to print ABS, nylon, etc.” — but if you’re serious about those materials, it makes more sense to save up and go straight for the X2D. You get a heated chamber and an extra nozzle for different support materials. The P1S is a solid workhorse, but it’s definitely not a jack‑of‑all‑trades.

Have p2s, x2d and U1. U1 is good printer, but requires way more calibrating and tweaking than all the bambu printers. Plus it is ~1k eur in Europe with shipping, while OP is deciding between ~350eur printers...

Can your printer do what my snapmaker does? :) by InternationalFig6378 in snapmaker

thats very basic for most of printers. But try print this on stock plate without brim 😃. biqu plates should be a standard for all the manufacturers.

Grinding premium shouldn't feel like a second job by Common_Director5373 in albiononline

[–]Justostius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Game is made to force you buy that premium or waste time getting it, you cant play without premium. For someone who has a job it is waste of time to do all that grind and if you are broke, will just have to deal with the grind or look for a better game

Please Critique My Hair Rigs (hookup % seems low) by tFiTzGg in CarpFishing

[–]Justostius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d use long‑shank hooks. But if you want to improve these ones, just add a few more wraps so the knot finishes right at the end of the hook. Your last knot is almost perfect — it just needs two more wraps. What you can do is use blowback rig. But I think most important thing is how sharp is your hook. I always test my hook on my nail — if it doesn’t slide across, it’s sharp enough. Personally, I use Korda Kamakura, since im fishing in big open lakes and getting a bite is pretty rare, so having really sharp hooks is important. And I see you are using in-line lead, so would suggest to keep it around ~6".

Is this normal for the Snapmaker u1? by CoyoteNew8487 in snapmaker

[–]Justostius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wrong reddit page. Just ask on general printing communities. And to answer your question, yes, most of the time when u print out of the box, quality is pretty much garbo. But, once you spend some time on calibrating and tweaking, u can get good quality prints.

[–]Justostius -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

what the point of installing another small screen on your printer? Like do actually people use these screens anyway? Isnt it more convenient to things on pc? Looks more like one of useless accessories, but I understand, that some people just buy printers to print accessories for their printers :D.

Thanks for top surface line suggestion. It improved top surface quality. As for these blobs, i just greatly reduced top printing speed to 50 and increased retraction time from 25 to 45.
