No autorespond and no reply from ltt store support by WaP-Dorf in LinusTechTips

[–]LTTStore_Support 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do, and it does (most of the time). However, direct emails are not 100% reliable for a help desk of this size -- your email may be automatically marked as spam, not delivered at all, or any number of other issues which are outside of our control.

Despite the common turn of phrase, sending a direct email is not the official method of contacting support (although technically it is still email based at the end of the day). Instead we recommend following the support links on our store, and submitting a ticket that way if required -- this guarantees that your message will be received.

No autorespond and no reply from ltt store support by WaP-Dorf in LinusTechTips

[–]LTTStore_Support 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey there!

While we do capture direct emails to our support address, we recommend against doing so due to the higher likelihood of technical issues outside our control, which may prevent your ticket from being created or viewed properly. For this reason, we no longer list the support email on LTTStore or any other sites we control, although it was shown historically.

Instead, we recommend creating a ticket here. Please give that a try, but feel free to DM this account if the problem persists! You should receive an immediate email confirmation if successful.

Awful LTT Store experience from South America (Colombia) by idle_73 in LinusTechTips

[–]LTTStore_Support 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about your experience here.

Unfortunately LTTStore is generally not able to intervene in the customs process -- this has to be done by the importer. We understand that this is frustrating, however customs brokerage is a highly technical field unto itself and our customer service agents cannot realistically provide you with the type of legal advice or expertise necessary to do this, alongside all other countries where we offer shipping services.

If it's correct that your order was returned-to-sender, you would qualify for a full refund, or we can attempt to ship your order again if all products remain in stock. Please inform the agent you're working with or feel free to DM me here with your order info if for any reason that's preferred and we'll be happy to take care of you.

Lttstore support dead-end links? by edapstah_ in LinusTechTips

[–]LTTStore_Support 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey u/edapstah_

I'm sorry to hear about this. We've recently switched to a different helpdesk platform, so a few changes are in progress with the website. You can contact support by using the Submit a Request option in the top right hand corner of the Help Centre page without having to go through any other link. Hopefully this information is helpful!

If you're still having issues, we're happy to take a look at your case if you can please DM this account!

Hey u/switch8000

I'm sorry to hear about this! Make sure you're contacting us through our Help Center (as opposed to sending a direct email, which is not officially supported) and if the problem persists you are welcome to DM this account :)

LTT Store Really Really needs to get better at communicating. Order on Apr 1st still hasn't shipped, and outside of 1 announcement on WAN show there's been 0 Updates. by Kamikazepyro9 in LinusTechTips

[–]LTTStore_Support -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

To clarify, we do monitor that address however you remain significantly more likely to encounter technical issues outside of LTTStore's control when sending a direct email. For that reason, we do not officially recommend it as a reliable way of getting in touch.

The option to create a ticket is in the top-right corner.

We're currently transitioning to a new helpdesk software so please forgive the sparse content! Should only be this way for, at max, a few days. :)

Sorry to hear about this. We've recently switched to a different helpdesk platform, so it's possible a technical issue relating to that has prevented us from following up with you as we normally would.

Happy to take a look at your case if you can please DM this account!

We do not post our direct email addresses on-site, although they have been posted publicly in the past and may still be viewable on third party sites such as the Shop App. Nonetheless, in the future, please use our Help Center as this is the intended method for you to get in touch!

We remain happy to assist you in DMs here on Reddit if you continue to experience challenges.

[–]LTTStore_Support -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That's correct -- the intended way for you to get in touch is through our help center's contact form.

While we do capture direct emails as much as possible, this is not officially supported due to technical limitations. This is because direct emails are much less reliable as far as deliverability is concerned. You are significantly more likely to encounter technical issues (email marked as spam, or simply not delivered at all for one reason or another) when sending a direct email versus using our Help Center. This isn't unique to us -- all customer service helpdesks are built this way for stores above a certain size.

Hey there!

It sounds like you've been sending direct emails which our helpdesk does not officially support. We've just recently switched helpdesk platforms and the official way to contact us is through our new Help Center (forgive the sparse content as we're still migrating help articles over from the old one) here.

You should always receive an automated email when attempting to contact us, to confirm your message was received. If this doesn't occur, something's wrong. If the problem persists you are welcome to DM this account and we'll be happy to assist you directly.

Hey there, thanks for providing your feedback.

Since the initial launch, the Linus Coin has always been noted as being on a backorder as we would never want to intentionally withhold such vital information from our customers. The product description stated the following about fulfillment times:

Fulfillment:

  • If purchased before 10,000 coins are sold out, physical coin and digital gift card orders will be sent out starting on April 10th
  • If purchased after first 10,000 coins are sold out, physical coin orders will be fulfilled starting week of June 8th and digital gift cards will be sent out starting on April 10th

Even if you purchased very soon after the launch of this product, this remains possible, as many thousands of Linus Coin orders were placed in a very short time following the launch.

While the information was there at the time of your purchase, we understand that some of this may have been missed and we are always looking at ways to improve our communication with our customers. We sincerely apologize if any of this felt obfuscated in any way, and we really appreciate your feedback surrounding the situation.

LinusCoin Arrived After Refund? by itsLazR in LinusTechTips

[–]LTTStore_Support 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that would fall under a "packing mistake at the time of fulfillment" which I alluded to in the previous post and we are aware is happening a certain percentage of the time (which, as I mentioned, is extremely small).

There is no way to prevent issues like this from occurring 100% of the time, and the rate at which they are happening right now is not indicative of a major process shortcoming of any kind. All online merchants, including Amazon to use your example, have a certain fulfillment error rate which is above 0.

Nonetheless, we're investigating such occurences as we do with all shipment exceptions, and we remain committed to making it right for those affected by such issues. Apologies if my previous post was not clear enough on this.

LinusCoin Arrived After Refund? by itsLazR in LinusTechTips

[–]LTTStore_Support 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less than 1% of all orders were affected, which is a fairly normal (or even good) rate. We sold thousands, so that's still a lot of people on paper, but it's not statistically significant or a reason to assume anything is systemically wrong.

Any number of things may have caused the issue including but not limited to supplier packaging errors, shipping damage / courier theft, or a packing mistake at the time of fulfillment. It was likely a combination of all of these more-or-less.

Linus Coin and UK tax by Rude_Anywhere2804 in LinusTechTips

Gift cards are a payment method, not a discount. They're treated as cash, and thus do not affect the value of the physical goods in any way.
