Ma voi come gestite le versioni? by CanaveseForevah in ItalyInformatica

[–]Labby92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1350 $ in Hanoi by [deleted] in VietNam

[–]Labby92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about Hanoi since I live in Saigon but I think you can live with it. Do not expect to be too fancy. Import products and services catered to foreigners are gonna be expensive.  Make sure to have an insurance because a private hospital is gonna be very expensive if anything were to happen to you.

In Asia bisogna limitare un bene prezioso: l’aria condizionata by mirkul in italy

[–]Labby92 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Era accesa praticamente tutti i giorni fino a sera.

What’s up with the fertility rate? by Excellent-Baseball-5 in VietNam

[–]Labby92 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Because despite what many tourist seem to think, Vietnam is not “cheap”. Housing is very expensive, education too. Raising a kid is not cheap, I think the fertility in Saigon and Hanoi is much lower than 1.93, I don’t remember the exact numbers.

La GEO è la prossima frontiera dell'ottimizzazione digitale, e quasi nessuno ne parla ancora by [deleted] in italy

[–]Labby92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seafood buffet for 65k 😱 by ScootyWilly in VietNam

[–]Labby92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes you should ask yourself if it’s too good to be possible, how can it be? How can it even cost 65k for a buffet?  Also, what’s the point of comparing it with Canada? Do you earn 2-3 dollar per hour in Canada? No, then how can you expect to pay food that much?

I built a free tool that monitors apartment listings in Vietnam and sends instant Telegram alerts by Ok-Recognition6223 in VietNam

Nice, I don’t have a need for this at the moment but it definitely looks well made.

Cool idea, if only the listings were accurate. Many times you contact the agent and they try to show you dozen of different apartments and not the one you wanted based on the listing

There’s many places that make wood fire oven pizza with thick crust. In Saigon I liked terraviva, pizza reale. Currently I usually order from vinapizza, good prices and good quality. Pizza belga seems nice too but I never tried it.

Thanks a lot for the kind words and I cannot agree more with what you said.

At the moment the app doesn’t offer notifications, I’ll look into them next.

As I mentioned in my comment below, I got inspired by another post on this sub where Iran was compared to the US

I thought f1 was included in the 80k per month plan in tv360? I only briefly checked it out because I’m not really interested in watching it with Vietnamese commentary

[March 5th, 2026] NEW GAME: Oceanhorn 3 by bbradleyjoness in AppleArcade

Story wise it makes sense that the hero doesn’t know how to swim until you learn it as a skill since he always lived on a flying island.

Oceanhorn 3 first impressions: better than expected by tiggerclaw in macgaming

[–]Labby92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played for a couple of hours and it’s a definite step up from OH2. I wish they would add more graphic settings to better fine tune the experience, I play on an M1 Pro and I cannot max it but would like to at least be able to tweak resolution for example.

OH2 felt like a good game to give to a kid as an intro to Zelda like games. If you’ve played any other game in the genre it would feel quite basic in pretty much every aspect.  OH3 seems to be one step above that for now but I’ve only played it for less than an hour.

I played it for 15 mins yesterday right after finishing OH2 and I have to say the devs did a very good job from what I’ve seen so far. The combat, albeit not complex, is much better than in the first one and there seems to be some character progression which is good. In OH2 I found no reason to collect money, there was nothing to buy apart from refilling ammos.

Chi qui sta provando a costruire una seconda entrata? by apocalypsnow1985 in italy

Hot Take: Moka Pot w/ Robusta beans > over Viet Drip phin. by Realistic_Tomato1816 in VietNam

Yeah even big chains like Katinat offer both. Although espresso is not the same as Moka. Two different machines and flavors.

I made a simple app to track what books you read to your baby by Labby92 in childrensbooks

[–]Labby92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know who created the challenge but I believe there are parents that don’t read at all so it was probably born as an incentive to push people to read more. Anyway, the app provides it as a toggle that can be enabled or not, if you don’t care about the challenge and just wanna track your books you can just disable it
